It was already announced (and tickets on sale) as the 2020 musical, now postponed by a year which is a shame, but inevitable.

I saw this last Friday evening and it is an excellent production, as you'd expect.
It still remains a painful theatre to get to without a car. One note from my experience, there is a very nice riverside walk from the centre of Reading, but it is not very well lit at this time of the year, so avoid this unless you're attending a matinee. They do now have Ola in Reading (not Uber) and the mobile reception in Sonning has improved. The taxi costs about £12 each way.
The tickets all come with a meal (buffet style main, followed by a served dessert/coffee). The food is very good and I can recommend the bread and butter pudding.
This always tend to be one of my favourite tap dancing filled musicals. The leads Jack Butterworth and Billie-Kay both look the part and dance wonderfully. The ensemble is small and on the young side for some of the roles, but play the roles well and fill the Sonning stage. The humour hits the mark well with the largely older audience.
The venue does ask for a Covid passport and for attendees to wear masks when moving about, but I was one of the only people to wear one (and one of an even smaller number of people to wear a mask when seated). I had a good central seat, further back that I'd like, but it is a small theatre with a decent rake and the view is good from nearly anywhere.
If the venue was a bit easier to get to, I would go again. Otherwise, I can certainly recommend this. The Mill now also lets you choose your own seat (which wasn't available when I booked).
