I wish they would stream Betrayal. Not my favourite play and not so long ago it was on in the westend, but what an amazing cast!

An excellent season enhanced by the casting, am tempted but impossible to do a 2 play day to make it worthwhile.
Usually do the main and studio when I do my trips to Bath.

I agree, what a lovely season to reopen their doors with! I am now rather tempted to visit Bath for the first time...

I saw Betrayal today. I have only seen one Pinter before, No Man's Land with Michael Gambon in 2008, and that rather scared me off of Pinter (it baffled me frankly). But, given the current lack of anything else to go and see, I thought I would have another bash and am happy to report that this was excellent. It's a first rate cast and the reverse chronology of the play works really well as we see the jaded, not very likeable people we see at the start gradually become more sympathetic and, in an odd way, innocent at the end. Thoroughly recommended and I have now signed up for Dumb Waiter at Hampstead in December.

John Heffernan and Rosie Sheehy cast in Oleanna
I don't know much about the play - can anyone recommend it? We've had a mixed reaction to Mamet in recent years - from the sublime (Glengarry Glen Ross) to the best forgotten (Bitter Wheat) - thanks

We've had a mixed reaction to Mamet in recent years - from the sublime (Glengarry Glen Ross) to the best forgotten (Bitter Wheat) - thanks The film with William H Macy and Debra Eisenstadt is probably as close to a definitive version as you can get as it was written and directed by Mamet and is worth tracking down (especially as this new lockdown presumably means the rest of the season will be rescheduled)

Oleanna has now been been moved to the much smaller Ustinov Studio with John Heffernan replaced by Jonathan Slinger, running from 3rd December to 16th January - and for Copenhagen Michael Gould replaced by Malcolm Sinclair, with it running in the main house from 20th January to 6th February
