Well I will have quite a day as I booked for a Saturday matinee and then I was already seeing Jane Mcdonald in the evening!Will be quite a 2 show day.

Not sure if any seats have been held back but for a show not yet on general sale this has already sold really well.
I'll predict it will be in the West End this time next year, most likely the Trafalgar Theatre.

My pal got us tickets for one of the Saturdays. Couldn't quite get the ones he wanted so I'm guessing it's selling ok out of the gate? Which one of The Saturdays? I always quite fancied Una the Irish one. |

All I will say it's a tragedy if you don't see this.You'll be sorry in a heartbeat.In the here and now with the steps hits it's better the devil you know although that was the last thing on my mind.I'm sure it won't be better best forgotten and if it does transfer hopefully it will be in the summer of love when all the fans can stomp into the theatre where it will create a chain reaction of joy.It certainly won't be one for sorrow!

Am a massive Steps fan. Absolutely the gay soundtrack of my early 20's! Got all the albums. Seen all the tours.
I rather suspect this will be every bit as dreadful (both audience and plot wise) as I Should Be So Lucky but couldn't not be there and have bought tickets for Birmingham.
Have the Alexandra ever launched a musical before? It's not exactly known like Curve, Manchester theatres or various other regional houses for launch and tech-ing?
Also slightly unusual that no further dates announced!

Great voice, not a lot else. It's interesting that all the other Saturdays had fairly successful post careers but not Vanessa. The ‘actual’ singer…its crazy. Thought she’d have been snapped up by any number of dance acts to do features. Its only really Una that has carried on in music. (Daughter was a fan so I have a vested interest 🤣). |

I think because Steps were parts of 90s nostalgia and they had some great songs, the interest is there although I suspect the appeal is UK limited. I remember watching the documentary about their reunion years ago and it was interesting to see what caused the split and now they all much happier. |

The writer has previously produced an unofficial Steps musical - "5, 6, 7, 8: a Steps musical" in 2017. Traces of it appear to have been since hidden and removed from CV's etc but this 4-star review remains - monstagigz.com/2017/08/19/theatre-review-5-6-7-8-a-steps-musical/"We’re big Steps fans and what we most loved about this show, and weren’t expecting, was how faithfully recreated and how well executed each dance routine accompanying all those hits would be...at just 65 minutes we would have quite happily had an interval and sat through the whole romp again...we’d love to see this again in a bigger venue on a longer run." |

They must have got permission from Barry Gibb to use the couple of Bee Gees songs they covered. I was wondering whether they would use them or not?
Steps are still a very popular band selling out arenas and had/have a good following so no surprise the show is selling well.
