One of my all-time favorite ALW songs (from an all-time favorite score) - They have beautiful voices... would love it if they recorded the whole thing

The tickets on Hoorah are definitely some good deals but looking at the seating plan on the RAH website there’s still so much unsold! Surely they’re going to have to discount even further otherwise it’s just depressing for the cast. Anyone more in the know about how these things work have any idea if this might end up offered out on seat filling websites?

Every day for the last two weeks I've been checking the RAH website and the likes of Travelzoo in the hope of a deal but as you say still nothing. I'm wondering whether it's a choice of the promoter "Alpha" whether to offer any kind of discount and maybe it's their policy not to do so ? The Hoorah seats are good value and reasonable location though not in the blocks I usually go for but becoming tempted to grab one while they last.

I had a look at the Horrah website out of curiosity as I'd never heard of it before a d have now got myself added to their mailing list as it sounds a great idea especially for those hard to get tickets shows. One question I saw lots of tickets saying w seats. Does that mean you have to buy both or can you just book one?

Such a shame there may be more people on stage than there are in the audience! 🤣

One question I saw lots of tickets saying w seats. Does that mean you have to buy both or can you just book one? I think it's for each seller to decide whether to sell only two seats together or allow one to be purchased with the likelihood of the second one remaining unsold. I'll be travelling to London from Sheffield by coach on Friday afternoon due to arrive at 5.45pm and while that allows for over an hour's delay there's always a risk of not getting to the RAH in time which makes the journey a bit stressful. Therefore unless a deal does come up I'm not going to prebook but will go to the venue and get a £28.38 Choir seat. They're not too bad sound or view-wise, and certainly offer better value than paying over £100 in the Stalls or Arena.

Maybe they'll close off the cheap levels and upgrade customers the other areas to make the place feel more full, currently you'll hear tumbleweeds in there!

The Wiz at Hope Mill. I had a Manchester Travelodge room booked for a trip to Back To The Future back in March 2020 just after lockdown cancellation which I've transferred twice and will now finally (touch wood) use it tomorrow.

Still a lot to sell which is a shame ,got given a 25% off offer code today from a cast member which makes the choir ones about £21 including fees. But will hold out and see if any better offers tomorrow. I’m also holding out hope for a good deal! Wonder why they haven’t offered discounts sooner

They've left it too late for deals now, how many people do they think will go with no notice. Such a shame.

I’m in London to see & Juliet this afternoon, wonder if it’s worth stopping by the Albert Hall afterwards and seeing if they’re offering any last-minute bargains?

It really is shocking that they have sold so few tickets...

Yeah they massively overestimated demand and then overcharged on top. If they'd gone for Cadogan Hall and made it reasonable it would've sold far better. I know I would've gone. But it's all about making money and I guess they thought the RAH and that pricing was the only way to go.

Alex Parker's concerts at the Palace were always sold out (or almost) events but he clearly overestimated the appeal of the show and the cast. He's charging more than the Coliseum charged to see Glenn Close, which might be a necessity rather than a whim since renting the RAH must be very expensive. Honestly, it is so hubristic that I struggle to feel bad for the half unsold auditorium. They'll probably give away hundreds of tickets by tonight to have a full-ish house, but he should stick to conducting because for a producer this was a terrible move.

Well I won't be there. Had decided against prebooking as I'm travelling on a coach from Sheffield to London due there at 6pm. It has broken down and we're currently at Fosse retail park near Leicester. Been here an hour already and they can't yet even say yet when a replacement coach will get here.☹

What am I missing? This looks surprisingly well sold to me, perhaps on the basis of the membership club 'Alpha' already having filled the pricey seats, as it's the cheaper seats in the balcony that are hardly sold. Down at the Arena and Stalls level the empty balconies won't be noticed, so atmosphere shouldn't be damaged or performers deflated. But, if only it had been a conventional theatre, I'd have gone because I trusted the Sound to be decent.

Bob would be honoured. Sorry about your messed up plans.

Downstairs and first level are maybe two thirds sold at best if averaged out, but there are big sections of empty seats and then it gets worse the higher you go. Let's just hope the people who do attend are loud clappers.

Popped down to the Albert Hall just in case and they said they weren’t able to give any discounts as they were bound by the producers, which is pretty much what I expected. Still worth a try! Decided not to bother with a choir seat for £30. I’m happy to just remember the great experience of this at Alexandra Palace. I did pick up one of the souvenir brochures though seeing as all they had last time around was a piece of paper with the cast on it.

Astonishingly they don't appear to have papered this. Can't imagine a lot of walk ups. The pricing was pure greed.

Surely they could have at least closed the upper level and then put all remaining seats downstairs on sale for £50 this morning. I really wonder if producers want an audience or not sometimes!

Doesn’t feel as “empty” as the seating plan implied. Sound better than can often be the case at the RAH. Prompters have replaced in-hand scripts.
