Couldn't find a thread for this (I really did look!) Caught the dress rehearsal of Camelot this afternoon - it's advertised as a concert but it's more staged than that. It sounded nice and full with a 7 piece strong actor-muso band, and I'd forgotten just how lovely a score this is. It helps that Michael and Caroline are married too, as it enables them to get around the 'social distancing' issue and make Arthur and Guinevere able to interact a bit more. They'll both good in it (Caroline especially - it's nice to see her use her soprano range again after some belty roles for the last few years). And lovely Marc Antolin all but steals the show as Lancelot. If you've got a ticket, you're in for a treat. Oh and it's 100 mins including an interval!

Many thanks.
I have just looked on their website and it shows all performances as sold out

Camelot is a lovely score with some hidden gems - it is a shame that the book is so plodding.
I do think it is a shame that they were only selling tables of four tickets - I understand the economics - but not everyone can put together (and then afford) a suitable group to take advantage of the offer.
It clearly hasn't meant they haven't sold - as it is a sell out. Just a little unfair on singletons

I wonder if this was the scheduled summer musical? Or perhaps it was something else and covid gave them them the chance to try something with a great score in a concert style

I was there last night. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Beautiful score, lovely setting, done very simply. Gorgeous costumes too!

However, the two outside shows have now finished, but they've got three socially distanced indoor ones coming soon. Its a great location, for anyone who hasn't been!

It's in my top three threatres (along with Wiltons & Regent's Park)
