In looking at this, i am not sure the people who are behind the show have posted the concept without thinking about the rights they are going to need for the catalogue as the songs are from a diverse group of writers and while we all appreciate the cheese, they may not and won’t want to give rights cheaply.

One thing with Steps, although to many they will just be a "cheesy" 90s pop group, they were one of the most successful groups of their time and still have an extremely loyal fanbase (myself included). The concert they put on 2 years back was absolutely spectacular, all the hits, great live vocals and very energetic. And they have a really great catalogue of music - even picking 20 you'd have "hits" left out.

True but then again your point is this is pointing to a show where you will blow a huge budget on the catalogue (unless the labels are producing it). They would probably prefer a concept that is less bonkers. |
