Btw, can folk stop whining about wearing masks? If you don't like it, don't go. Simple! It's the world we live in right now. I'd happily wear a mask to theatres for eternity if it got them all open again.
Err, it's a free country last time I checked - although it seems less and less like it.

I think the information hub has been updated again, specifically regarding the previous 'mandatory' wearing of a face covering. Maybe it was pointed out to the OAT that it risked being seen as discriminatory, and not in full compliance with the regulations?
Basically, if you are exempt from wearing a face covering on public transport, you will also be exempt at the theatre, providing you print off and wear one of those exemption cards. It's all self-cert anyway, so anyone can largely do what they want!

£65 paid for JCS, but £45 soon to be refunded for City of Angels. Net cost £20 for an evening of theatre. Not bad, considering.

Booked a pair of seats for this this morning, and was thankful that I didn’t choose to go alone - there were no single seats for the date I selected, and could see that even the ones that were unavailable were still few and far between.

Well done! £65 paid for JCS, but £45 soon to be refunded for City of Angels. Net cost £20 for an evening of theatre. Not bad, considering. That’s still £65 cost for a night of theatre Shhh! 🤫

It's all self-cert anyway, so anyone can largely do what they want! That's worrying to read. I went through all the information on their website yesterday before booking today & at that point it said masks would be mandatory, which is one of the things that persuaded me to book. I'll be pretty anxious if I get there & find myself surrounded by people not wearing masks.

My refunds from Six, City of Angels and Be More Chill (as well as a friend buying my original Joseph tickets) certainly help the maths!

I'm sorry if I heightened your anxiety, Dawnstar; that clearly wasn't my intention. Having earlier posted about face coverings, I felt it was my responsibility to clarify the theatre's revised position. Obviously there are no guarantees, but everything will almost certainly be fine: You're outdoors. The only person who will be physically close to you is your mother. The audience will all be facing in the same direction. In addition to temperature checks on entry, all the other safety precautions we have become familiar with will be in place. I appreciate it's rather more complicated for you, but if it's any reassurance, I have been within two metres of thousands of people since mid-March, many within one metre or less.

I'd imagine most people will be wearing masks - if my airport/plane experience is anything to go by, people are very compliant when not being compliant can get you kicked out. Also there is a lot of social pressure to conform. The person I'm going with has got an exemption and won't be wearing one - she has checked with the theatre and they accept that. I'm slightly nervous on her behalf that she will be subject to hostility from other audience members who might think she just can't be bothered.
I do think it's a bit over the top in an outdoor socially distanced situation, but willing to suck it up.

I appreciate it's rather more complicated for you, but if it's any reassurance, I have been within two metres of thousands of people since mid-March, many within one metre or less. I think I'm particularly nervous about aerosol transmission in theatres because a couple of years ago someone sitting behind me in a theatre sneezed violently - I could feel the blast hitting me - and less than 48 hours later I came down with an agonizingly sore throat which lasted 6 days & meant I had to cancel what should have been my first & only ever trip to the Edinburgh Festival. So ever since then I've been very wary of people behind me projecting any germs onto me. As the MMN tickets I have booked are in the front part of the theatre I was thinking I'd be (hopefully) okay because everyone behind would be masked but now not so much.

RICARDO AFONSO! I didn't think I'd get to see his Judas ever again!
As soon as their schedules are out I think I'm going to need at least another 3 tickets.

I am so hoping that the date I’ve booked is for Declan Bennett. I guess now we have the wait for the schedule!

I am thrilled whoever I get to see but as I’m going twice it would cool to see both sets where they are doubled. I wonder if it will be a schedule or a mystery until you see the cast board

Heck I hope they have a schedule. I want to see everyone! Lots of returners plus a new Jesus (and new Herod? Not sure if Shaq has done it before. I know Ivan covered Caiaphas last time it was at the Open Air, I saw him).

Did the run sell out? Do they only sell tickets for a certain amount of time?
I just tried going on went on website to have a look and it just auto refers you to queue it page saying the booking event has ended?
