Not confirmed, believe there are limited number of tickets for each discount family, as a member looked at booking a ticket for Ivanov-Theatre of Nations, even though there are plenty of tickets available the members ticket option comes up as sold out.
Agree it would be better if this was communicated clearly as in my case getting the discount is the primary reason I am a member and would have booked in the members booking period if I knew that only a limited number of tickets were available for members.

I’m completely prepared to pay full price and get a train from Manc to London to see a matinee but looking at the seat opinions on theatremonkey.com I’m not sure I can deal with the stress as it looks like this theatre only wants patrons under 5’10. I’m not investing that amount of money and effort to sit for 2.5 hours with my knees under my chin. Screw that 🖕🏻 Are you referring to the Barbican?? The Stalls seats are wide, have amazing leg room, and i'm 6'1. and also, the show runs under 2 hours including interval. I’m 6’3 and my homeboy 🤗🐒 says stalls are comfy up to 5’10 😡

I'd guess the same elsewhere as there is so much space wherever you go in the building.

So I wanted to see this again with a few friends and all the student tickets (half price for every Wednesday) are sold out, even though the show has loads of empty seats. I am FURIOUS. Don't really understand this at all. Do you think we have a good chance of getting upgraded if we book the balcony seats for a midweek performance that isn't selling really well? As you may have read, it happened to us. Just make sure you pick a night when specifically the Stalls hasn't sold well - their goal will be to close the Balcony completely for that performance.

You're FURIOUS because you can't get a discount ticket? Life must be really tough for you... I am furious because it doesn't make sense. I have gotten student tickets for sold out shows at the Barbican (the Grief is the thing with feathers is one example, which was completely sold out, but all the return tickets that were added on the website for Wednesdays had the student option). If the student tickets were limited for this production it should've been specified (something like 'subject to availability' wouldn't hurt). The Young Vic makes it perfectly clear on their website that tickets for Under 25s have to be booked in advance and are limited. Thanks for your input though, it was very useful as always! You're welcome

Totally agree. I get why people love the atmosphere in the park, but this has been taken to another level indoors with the intensity and the creative act 1 lighting design that wasn't do-able in the park's daylight. Know am a broken record re this, but I am SO hoping for a cast recording and UK tour. (99.9% confident neither will happen sadly.....) God, thinking about it, a DVD (like the old Cats/Joseph/JCS staged ones) would be even more amazing. This should be preserved! Again though, no chance. I shall keep dreaming..... Oh a cast recording would be great! Maybe with a different Mary though. Longing for a well produced, up-to-date recording of JCS. The 1996 sounds like it was recorded in a toilet, Don't like Murray Head or Jerome Pradon as Judas in either the 70s or 2000s recordings and then last year's NBC recording is ruined by the crowd noise. Given this productions success in London & the US and getting rights for a release can't be that hard given the amount on Spotify, can't see any real reason why they couldn't do one for this... well other than the moderate ticket sales. Elliot & Harper gave us a Company recording, no reason OAT can't get this sorted, please! Last year's NBC recording is ruined by John Legend.

I'm 6' and people can still walk past me in the row when I'm sitting down. Not confirmed, believe there are limited number of tickets for each discount family, as a member looked at booking a ticket for Ivanov-Theatre of Nations, even though there are plenty of tickets available the members ticket option comes up as sold out. Yes, the members discount does seem to be an allocation which sometimes (but not often) sells out. Unusual for this to happen for theatre shows (and member discounts are still available for JCS), sometimes happens very quickly for gigs which I presume have a smaller allocation. I guess Also worth being aware that not all shows offer the member discount in the theatre (eg the RSC productions never do) - depends on the producer.

If you are able to sit in other theatres then you would be able to sit there very comfortably indeed.

Ngghhh... I've been trying to decide which show to go to for my birthday and it was narrowed down to this (which closes the weekend before my birthday) or Evita (which I can go to on my actual birthday). I plumped for the latter, but reading this thread I think I'm going to have to plead for another trip to London to see JCS before it closes! I couldn't resist any longer. Now I've got the final performance of this to look forward to as well as Evita the week after! I might regret it as I expect hotels will be super-pricey for the Bank holiday weekend, but this just sounds too good to miss.

Saw this last night from row B stalls! Absolutely fantastic, loved every second of it! So clever with the symbolism with the microphones and glitter. The dance was so clever and was full of energy. Band sounded amazing and they were loud enough. Roberts Gethsemane was jaw dropping, I had high expectations as well for it! Never had so many goosebumps, from there it just gets better and better.

Looking for help here: Has anyone sat on the front row of the gallery? Want to book for tonight in hope of getting upgraded because the stalls is 50% full.

That's been discussed earlier in the thread. Not that far from the stage, looks through the grid, good sound. Closing it would depend on how much else has been sold. Looking at it just now, most of the dress, uppers and balcony are not on sale. If they have been taken off sale, you could get upgraded. If those tickets have been sold, I suspect less chance. Thank you! Ive been checking the website today and the stalls is around 60% full I think. Not sure at this stage. If I do get upgraded does that mean the whole balcony does because im not sure if the entire balcony will fit but looking at it now we might. Even if I dont get upgraded hopefully the seat will be okay! and its a second viewing as well of a brilliant show

Is there anyone who has gone and got a programme can tell what Matthew Harvey is covering? I keep seeing him post pictures and saying they are from cover runs. I have never seen the show so I can't make the connection.
