Unusual for the star to be off. No understudy? 🤪

Has anyone had their links yet? I’ve had the In Conversation link for tonight but no link for the actual play

Has anyone had their links yet? I’ve had the In Conversation link for tonight but no link for the actual play Got my link to today’s play around midnight last night, along with a follow-up email to check I’d got it. I don’t have an In Conversation booking, but they did make clear you’d get a separate link for that. They might be staggering the sends, or there may have been a technical issue around sending two links to customers booked for both the play and the chat. If you don’t have the play link yet, I’d suggest checking with the Old Vic for peace of mind.

The FAQs state that two separate links will be sent, one for the performance, and another for the 'in conversation'.
Links will be emailed at least 12 hours before a performance, and to contact the box office as soon as possible if there is less than 12 hours to curtain up.

Geez it was superb.
Get a ticket for this, Andrew Scott is sublime. The script is sublime.

Thought it was a strong performance in what must be very unnerving circumstances, though I imagine it helps to have done film. In terms of the script, I think it would have been stronger to cut after the reveal. The last section raises nothing new.

Brilliant performance by Andrew Scott tonight, this was definitely worth the wait. I agree with a previous poster it will help that he has film experience as there was quite a bit of eye contact with the camera.

This is excellent, though a difficult watch for us (I don't read trigger warnings because I don't want spoilers). I hope it's filmed for TV at some point - or has an afterlife at a studio theatre if normal service is ever resumed (it's not a piece for a large theatre like the OV in normal conditions)

Really enjoyed this this afternoon. I was a bit concerned Zoom might not work on my knackered old iPad, but thankfully it did, though the way the sound cuts out at the second he stops speaking is really annoying
Agree wholeheartedly with what others have said above. Great performance. Also could have done without the last bit. Bit weird to have him bowing to recorded applause.
I was going to book the next one, but then saw it's a Brian Friel play. I know it's a huge generalisation but from past experiences Irish drama and I don't seem to get on, so I think I'll give that one a miss.
