Whatever happened to Susannah Fellows and Kathryn Evans? They were two of my absolute favourite musical actresses- they had real class and talent.

Hmmm, how would Kerry Ellis and Charlie Stemp sound for this? I would love to see how this would work in the Menier, it seems like a perfect winter warmer

I seem to remember her saying she was in a car accident that laid her out for a few years? She was so wonderful

And probably too tall. Vera describes him as a 'half-pint imitation' and later sings:
'Wise at last, my eyes at last Are cutting you down to your size at last"

Yeah he needs to be a real charmer, lothario, playboy type. probably someone in their 30s I'd say.
Tam Mutu or Ramin Karimloo type of actor maybe

Do we reckon this will still happen? Maybe after Habeas Corpus? Loved Louise Deadman’s My Funny Valentine at the Proms the other night and whilst I know that’s supposed to be in Babes in Arms, it got me thinking about how much I was looking forward to seeing this show live in the Menier. It’ll be great to see a musical here again for sure.

It was indeed The Albery Theatre a very deserved transfer from the Half Moon Theatre in Stepney Green. Remember attending the first public preview at The Half Moon. Sian Phillips was a definitive Vera even that very first preview and those present (recall Georgia Brown leading the cheers!) that night knew its transfer was inevitable.

Wow. According to the Bank of England’s inflation calculator £9 (it doesn’t do decimals) works out at £39.47 in today’s money.
