Anyone know when non-member booking opens? Noon yesterday! Should be on sale at all the usual places. I think the pre-sale may have been just a few hours beforehand.

Ah, I see a crystal ball (are you having surgery TallPaul?) and through it some wallpaper... I also forsee you will find Saturday follows Friday... And no, you may not. Mr Snuggles, Sir is my final offer. Thank you, Sir...I think. Same as every other year, then? What has Sam Nixon got that I haven't? Potted beef sandwiches, maybe...or are we back to balls? 🙂

Did ATG card holders get an email about this? I joined recently and didn't hear anything about it. Hmm. I've had a card for years and very rarely get pre-sale emails, despite being opted in. The card itself pays for itself just through the free booking, any additional discounts are a bonus.

Nothing on the One Show. DT mentioned last week that they hadn't given up hope just yet. They have a bit of time still up their sleeves, considering he was meant to be still filming Around the World this month anyway.

I'm happy with that. I may be allowed to leave Australia by then!

Thanks - I was only wondering about this one this morning. I've still got two remaining October dates, both already rescheduled once and doubtless will soon be again, or cancelled. Otherwise the tumbleweed rolls free through the rest of 2020...

Proper sympathies - sucks. I'm not giving up on They Shoot Horses at the Bridge in Nov.

Same for me, 2020 diary now clear! Who knew this would happen a few months back?

Same for me, 2020 diary now clear! Who knew this would happen a few months back? I just remembered today how, when I was assembling my Twitter "top-5 theatre plays I've seen in 2019" list, sometime in December - which is something I'd never usually do but had somehow decided to be braver - I promised to do a full top-10 list in 2020. Who could have guessed back then that I would spend 3/4 of the year not seeing any theatre?! It still feels so strange... Ontopic: I never got a ticket for Good, because I could not afford the money West End asked for a decent seat back when the sales started. If we do get to see it, I am wholeheartedly planning on spending some of the money I've saved up during lockdown on a seat with a good view of David Tennant on stage, once that becomes possible again! (And oh what a joy that will be!)

Bit of a coup to get it there rescheduled so early - presumably ahead of the Jamie Lloyd season shows?

I got another credit voucher from ATG. However, if there is no vaccine, I can't imagine being able to use them before summer 2021. I just don't want to be using them to book more shows that get postponed or cancelled again.

Don’t bank on a vaccine, maggiem cos it ain’t gonna happen very soon. They might have some measures in place in the theatre to make it less risky. I’m hoping so.

Did other people who booked for this get an email confirming what action was being taken with tickets? I’ve never been contacted.

Did other people who booked for this get an email confirming what action was being taken with tickets? I’ve never been contacted. Yes, from ATG... "In order to help contain the spread of Covid-19, we have had to postpone the forthcoming run of Good, starring David Tennant, which was due to play from 6th October until 20th December 2020. We’re pleased to confirm that Good is being rescheduled to run in Spring 2021 and will still star David Tennant, Fenella Woolgar and Elliot Levey in the cast and be directed by Dominic Cooke. As a current ticket holder you don’t need to worry or do anything, as you will be given priority access into the new dates before they are available publicly. We will be in touch with more information once new dates are confirmed. Please be assured, that your custom is paramount to us and we are preparing to welcome you back to theatres once it is safe to do so." I have a credit on my account and, from past experience, a request for a refund will bear fruit (eventually). I've kept the credit as will certainly rebook when new dates confirmed. Of course, if you booked via another outlet the options may be different.

Yeah, I’ll double check. I think I bought in a preview sale of some sort, but it’s so long ago I can’t remember!

Happy with this. But who knows if I'll even be able to leave the country by then? Think I'll re-book for later in the run just to give myself a better chance.

I wonder if this moved to the Harold Pinter because the Jamie Lloyd Company's The Seagull and A Doll's House have booked the Playhouse?
I would dearly love for The Watsons to follow Good into the Pinter. It really deserves its West End run.

I'll believe this when it happens. At this stage all reschedules dates are arbitrary and basically plucked out of thin air. Nothing has changed to make the staging of plays a viable economic enterprise with the restrictions in place and there is no guarantee that anything will have happened by April. Even if the wonder vaccine is developed it is quite likely that a new strain requiring a new vaccine will be doing the rounds by then.
Which is a shame as I was really looking forward to this one.

Had an email this afternoon advising we'd been rebooked to May, on a date we're already booked to see "Cinderella: The Musical".
Calling ATG, I was given no indication of call waiting time or queue position, but after about 15 minutes on hold, I was given the option of a call-back, which I took. This came about 20 minutes later.
We tried several dates -- there is currently no option to check for yourself online -- but there were no acceptable seats left, being too far back or in Theatre Monkey red zones.
We agreed that I would try again in a few days when some better seats may have come free. In the meantime, our seats remain unavailable to anyone else to book even though we will ultimately be swapping or refunding.
Many frequent and dedicated theatregoers, who buy early to get the best seats, are going to be hit by ATG's policy of automatically rebooking. I would have preferred a system where they started from scratch, and allowed people to rebook in roughly the order bookings were originally taken. The first 200 bookings for the show would be emailed a link enabling them to rebook starting from a specific time; the next 200 would be 15 minutes later, etc.
That would have meant a small amount of one-off IT development over the summer, but a fairly minor project easily deliverable.
Of course, there's every chance that next year's shows will be further delayed, so I might just sit this out.
