I really hate the new logo. It's a really ugly website.

Not impressed by the logo change or website. Pretty underwhelmed by what's on offer tbh. May try to get tix for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead

Might try for Art and/or Woyzeck, will wait to see who is in Rosencrantz before deciding on that one.

The website has got worse somehow? I'm definitely up for Lear, Woyzeck and The Lorax, I'm definitely skipping the Beckett, and I'll wait for a little more info on the rest.

1st impression was underwhelmed, but glad to see Art.
Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are dead has recently played at the Haymarket within the last 5 years.
Thought they might give an American playwright a go, I know they have just done Eugene O'Neill's - The Hairy Ape, but was really hoping they would have done something by Neil Simon whose work hasn't been performed in London for years or since the Sunshine Boys was done at the Savoy.

I like the look of the new season as it happens but really, let's be honest, it's all about Glenda isn't it.

Loved John Boyega in a couple of films (most recently Star Wars!) so I'm definitely interested in that. Also never caught The Lorax so may fit that in too. Nothing mindblowing though really.

Aside from Woyzeck (read it at uni, but only ever seen it performed as an opera!), I'm a bit underwhelmed. And I'm afraid the cast isn't thrilling enough to get me in for Lear, given that it's a play I find dull at the best of times.
But I recommend The Lorax - if I hadn't seen it already, I'd be going to that.

I think the Beckett will be a hard sell (for me at least.) I'm a bit worried about the 'Lear' - especially Jane Horrocks. I didn't see 'Art' before so might be interested, but that will be all about the casting, I reckon. Woyzeck I know really well and have seen a lot. Hmmm....

I didn't think the Lorox was that much of a success when it was on as there seemed to be lots of offers available

Christ that redesign is awful! I'm not exactly drawn to any of the new season announcements either, bit of a damp squib all round.

Woyzeck I know really well and have seen a lot. Fingers crossed for this Woyzeck squarely aimed at young adults with lead actor John (Star Wars) Boyega in a new version by Jack (Harry Potter) Thorne directed by Joe (Nabokov) Murphy.

Excited for Lear, Art, R&G which I've shamefully never seen (apart from as a teen and not really able to understand), and maybe the Beckett.

Woyzeck I know really well and have seen a lot. Fingers crossed for this Woyzeck squarely aimed at young adults with lead actor John (Star Wars) Boyega in a new version by Jack (Harry Potter) Thorne directed by Joe (Nabokov) Murphy. Hated the version Woyzeck on the Highveld that came to Oxford some years ago.....but loved how Jack Thorne adapted Let the Right One In....that was splendid. I think inertia may win in the end....I am grumpy at the Old Vic and their 2 interval leanings....it sort of makes the cheap previews difficult for us travellers from afar and the normal ticket prices are too steep for me! Plus they never sold my cheap ticket when I returned it (as preview was too long)...magically released lots of unsold seats the day before when the show had been sold out! Grump, grumble....

Well they sent me an email which appears to be empty and the new website has annoyed me so quickly that can't be bothered wandering around it to find the new information. Think this will all depend if they're still doing previews and I happen to be able to book on that day, the Lear i'm probably most interested by Harry Melling and could be R and G tempted dependent on casting.

Shall be trying for Art. Intrigued to see what the casting is going to be like on this. Three star vehicles? Hmmm.

The new font/logo is an eyesore!...and I was only just getting over the yellow/blue/pink colour scheme!
It looks like someone has just rushed a quick Microsoft Word document and did it using WordArt.
Nowhere near as nice as the graphics used under Spacey.

It's odd how after all this cyberspace-time, some institutions still get their websites wrong. Occasionally they even manage to make what was not bad at all into something much worse than its predecessor.

Sometimes hands are more tied than you think - new technologies and standards come in and you have to update or you'll end up with a pretty website that just doesn't work for large swathes of people. And then of course the new technologies you're updating to implement have bugs, and turn out to be worse than the old versions, and you have to re-design but don't have the money to spend on it because the new implementation costs more than it should....
It's amazing how much it can cost just to seem to stand still, from the point of view of the end-user.

Many modern websites don't work because they're using modern technology and rely on incredibly complicated programming to reimplement basic functions. Instead of using standard links that all browsers can handle natively they write special handlers to detect that the left mouse button has been clicked, but that fails to work for people trying to navigate using the keyboard or who want to do something like open the link in the background. Some problems are caused by bugs in web browsers, but most of the time they're the result of web programmers assuming that the "clever" bit of code that's customised to their own environment will work for everyone.
