Slightly off tangent but after someone mentioned Rent Remixed earlier in this thread I made the mistake of looking up clips on YouTube. I remember enjoying it back when I saw it, but seeing it now...well some of their choices were questionable, to say the least.

Seems like things have changed regarding the stream's international availability. The booking page now states:
"Streaming to the UK ONLY. Playing at advertised times British Standard Time (BST). This event is geo-blocked to customers outside of the UK."
A bit of a problem to those overseas who have already booked tickets.

They should have cleared that before selling tickets to all and sundry. |

I imagine if you use a VPN to change your location online you can bypass it

I'm just annoyed that they didn't sort this before accepting sales from abroad. If they won't refund me, I'll try my VPN (and I know it'll float up online anyway...) |

Why geo-restrictions? It is not like there are a lot of Rent shows running worldwide, competing for customers.

I reckon it’s to do with the licensing. With MTI Shows you often only get the right to perform/broadcast the show in the country where the production will take place |

Well, Hope Mill has outdone itself.
AFTER they refunded me for both the stream and the programme I had ordered... they have now sent me a programme anyway, all the way to Germany.
Sent a donation their way now.

My "Party Pack" arrived today, containing a programme (including the actors' pronouns which is a nice touch), a keyring, some sweets and a little picture of the cast.
Also, does anyone know how long the stream is available for? Or can you only watch it at a specific time.

Pretty sure it’s geolocked to play at the exact time it starts and then no replays |

Their email said it's available for three hours with a 2.5hour running time, so I guess you can start it a little bit later, but not too much as you'll miss the end otherwise.
