Is there a way to choose your seat for this? I saw an option of buying a membership but I'm not sure if it works for this production because of social distancing etc.

Anyone able to tell me what the parking situation at Hope Mill is like please? On their site it says there's a small car park but I can't find it on Google Maps.

This is an impressive cast & creative team and I was unable to resist its pull. It’ll be a nice pre-Christmas treat. I could hear Dom HH sing ‘I’ll Cover You’ all the way through his ‘One Last Time’ in Hamilton and now my wish came true. Plus the added bonus of whatever Luke Sheppard does with it.

Very excited about this.
And the casting announcement has clearly given sales a massive boost - Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays pretty much sold out!
(Wonder if they'll do a Songs For A New World and suddenly decide that they can fit more people in after all ;-))

Although I’ve got a ticket sorted, It’s a shame there isn’t a live stream or a recorded performance that they could do as a PPV to help the theatre’s bank balance. I’m sure that under the current conditions something like that would do well.

I’d made plans to do a Rent and Six double show day but now the Rent matinees are all sold out! Shows the popularity of this casting!

It is irresponsible of the Hope Mill Theatre to be going ahead with this production with current Covid 19 cases rising everyday, especially in the North, they are putting the cast and crew at risk, even though they are saying they have all the safety measure in place??? For as observed today in their current rehearsal venue the cast and creatives quite openly flouted those safety guidelines.... quite freely mixing with other people outside their own bubble ??!! We all want theatre back, but not at the risk of the health and safety of the performers and crew! Hope Mill Theatre think again, its not about trying to raise your profile, it's about people lives! This production should be postpones until it is safe to do so - it would also save you a lot of money and heartache if Manchester goes back in to lockdown during your run, which according to the news today is a strong possibility.

Always good to have the opinion of a brand new member on a controversial subject eh?

Always good to have the opinion of a brand new member on a controversial subject eh? Are they less valid?

Always good to have the opinion of a brand new member on a controversial subject eh? Are they less valid? No, just a bit suspicious and ‘axe grindy’ from out of nowhere. Nobody is being forced to perform in the show and nobody is being forced to buy tickets for it. I think the appetite for tickets shows that people are ready to take responsibility for themselves again and go to the theatre under a certain set of rules. From what I understand the cast are being regularly tested.

"For as observed today" - scrolling through social media 24/7 doesn't make you a health expert, Karen.

Well it's sold out. So stay away and don't go. Problem solved.

I do hope this is able to go ahead. Great show, great cast, nice theatre and everything we need right now. But yes, of course safety protocols should be being observed during rehearsals. And, if they're not, posting evidence on this on social media is not a good move. It doesn't take much for these stories to get into the mainstream press and cause all sorts of problems for theatres that are doing everything by the book.

The message they posted in May the day after they registered was a bit of a dig at Hope Mill again. Bit odd. Not very pleasant ...

Well, let’s accept that everyone is entitled to their opinion and move on shall we?
Whatever is going on with the cast, I’m primarily concerned with my safety in the audience. The video I posted upthread assures me that the necessary precautions are being taken. I’m interested to see how the Perspex screens will be used!
I had a shock this morning, got an email from the HM thanking me for my donation and asking what I wanted to have inscribed on my plaque. I mean, Ive made my fair share of drunk purchases but a £500 plaque at the Hope Mill?
Fortunately it turned out to be an error 😂
