I haven't seen a thread on this production and I think members of this board should try and catch it . A 70 minute play written and directed by Bejan Shebani (no interval) about two brothers raised in different families and what they have in common and more importantly what they don't. Nature vs Nurture. It's exquisitely staged and wonderfully performed. A very satisfying evening on every level. Sadly, there were plenty of empty seats last night, but the audience was appreciative of the actors and their rather Herculean achievements.

Agree with dievi, this is worth seeing. There is some beautifully realistic dialogue, some moments of toe-curling awkwardness between the characters which seem just right and it is well acted and staged.

Agree 100% with the above. This is beautifully written and acted with real emotion. You so want the relationship to work. 5* from me.

I saw this a little more than a week ago and thought it was absolutely superb! Irfan Shamji and Scott Karim are incredible as the two brothers: one trying to hold on firmly to the life he knows, the other to get access to the life he feels he was somehow robbed of. It is wonderfully written, emotional and fully convincing at times when there are dialogues, but it is absolutely most stunning in those moments when the characters don't speak, but express their emotions through movement - the awkwardness, the anger, the frustration... All that comes with discovering that there is someone out there who is family, and yet a stranger to you. I don't think I've ever appreciated the importance of a movement director to the extent I did while watching those moments (such an amazing job from Aline David!).
Sadly, the Bush was largely empty on that particular Friday night, but I do hope this will somehow reach a broader audience. It's a remarkable play.

I saw this afternoon's matinee. The theatre was at most a quarter full, which is a shame as I would really second the posts above. A lot of emotion, very well performed. Certainly deserves more eyes.
