That's a lot more expensive than Cadogan Hall prices and a much bigger venue to fill twice I'm minded to wait in the hope of some dynamic pricing downwards nearer the time. Seems to happen with single seats

Great news. Good to see Lambert Jackson moving up a notch from the Other Palace and Cadogan Hall. Their concert shows are the best thing to happen to Sundays in theatreland for years. Dream casting too. I somehow assumed this show would be on a Sunday but I see now that April 4 is a Saturday, I wonder if that will affect ticket sales ? |

More positively i would think, especially for people like me outside London, it makes the travelling a lot easier as public transport on a Sunday is so fraught with disruption. I had an absolute mare trying to book this on Wednesday. No priority booking link on either of the emails I've registered with Lambert Jackson and The Palladium. Lambert Jackson were great on Twitter tho, and gave me the email of someone at The Palladium who emailed me a link. But then the pay button gave error messages, tried different seats, error message, different browsers, error message ... Finally booked about 2 hours after I was emailed the link, around 13.30. The presale link from The Palladium came through at 15.25.
Booked and looking forward to it.

I didn't get my priority email until about 3.30 either. However, I didn't book then - held off until today. I now seem to be going on the Saturday afternoon, knowing nothing whatsoever about the show!

The guys producing this tend to use the same people for everything, so Celinde Schoenmaker might make an appearance 🤷🏻♂️

They haven't announced anyone to play Neville Craven yet, so i'm guessing it's that. With Jac Yarrow presumably playing Dickon, there's not role for Luke Bayer in this production.
Because it's a concert, i would love to see Jane MacDonald play Martha. I genuinely think she would be fantastic.

I absolutely *loved* Dr Zhivago so that fact that this is the same composer and stars Ramin is a huge draw. I know it's a one off but to pay nearly £45 to sit in the back 3 or 4 rows of the (enormous) Palladium seems pretty steep, but I'm starting to think I'm just cheap as this seems to be the going rate and I sound like a broken record! I think I'll have to bite the bullet as I can't see there being many discounts for this one and I really don't want to miss out.

I'd keep holding out for offers - they're doing 2 performances and the Palladium is huge so shifting 4500 tickets at full price is probably unlikely. I've got it favourited on TodayTix in case any discounts do appear. |

There's good offers for this in the TodayTix theatre week sale. Just picked up a ticket for £15 in the Royal Circle, and they also have decent stalls seats for £25.

Disappointing as always. I was holding out hope that this may still go ahead (as Songs For A New World is seemingly able to) but not meant to be. Hopefully it'll be another thing to add to the 2021 diary 🤞

Hope Jac Yarrow and Lucie Jones are still attached to this if they can fit it around their shows, obviously Ramin will have to be replaced now.

I saw the West Yorkshire Playhouse production many, many years ago. One of the few productions I've walked out of (leaving two companions behind) long before the interval. I wasn't in the right mood for it, but in fairness I loathed everything about the musical when I listened to it later. The snapping point came when a man did a five minute song about how much he likes cabbages and I could feel my blood pressure rising with each passing second. I'm sure it's not the worst show ever written but it has a special place in my heart as one of my absolute least favourites. |

I'm sure it's not the worst show ever written but it has a special place in my heart as one of my absolute least favourites. that was a different version - i’m assuming this will be the broadway score by Marsha Norman, not the Gary Lyons and Tim Sutton version. the only professional production i know of was the RSC version which played 2 seasons at stratford & a brief london run. |
