Now, this iconic musical returns to London in a bold new actor-musician production with the actors on stage at all times and playing the piano to add a new narrative dimension to the story, accompanied by a four piece band.

Lovely. Never seen it before. So can we now persuade Jeremy Jordan to come over and do it for Equity minimum? He can stay at my place rent free.

God another musical I've fallen in love with but haven't seen. Need Parade and Honeymoon in Vegas to knock some more JRB off the list. I don't know how anyone will beat Sherie Rene Scott and Norbert Leo Butz for me though.

Fingers crossed - it’s VERY dependent on it’s casting. Jonathan Bailey and Samantha Barks were a fab pairing at The Other Palace. Especially Sam, who gave easily the most likeable Cathy I’ve seen to date. Though for the record Damian Humbley (and Lara Pulver) were both great at the Menier originally too.

Any seat recommendations for this?

The Benjamin button they did was Brill, so I'm hoping it's a similar sort of set up to that.

Any seat recommendations for this? The stage is floor level, so front row is usually good. Alternatively on higher rows, the seats at the edge have nothing in front of them as the rows get wider as they go up (eg B13 & 14, C15&16) Also my usual top tip - the Pay as You Go ticket gets you 5 tickets for £60, you can use up to two per performance and they never expire. Since tickets for this are £27.50 you have almost broken even if you buy two tickets for this!

I followed your advice and bought my subscription, just used the first ticket for a front row seat for this show. Really easy to buy and use, I thought I'd need a code number to input in order to book but just logged in, chose seat and it confirmed with £0.00 to pay. Very impressed.

Great! Should flag that the only restriction on the PAYG tickets its that sometimes for popular shows you can't use them for the last week of performances. But that should be stated on the page for each show. Great deal, anyway!

Last 5 years is a musical that is done frequently, due to the small cast!
Incidentally when is the new Southwark Playhouse theatre going to open?

Not going to lie, I would have preferred HONEYMOON IN VEGAS, but I do love THE LAST FVIE YEARS so will probably see this. I really enjoyed the St James (as it was then) production.

Anyone heard any rumours of cast for this? I bought the PAYG package this week so can get a couple of tickets for this at a bargain price.

So I'll be going regardless, but it would be nice to know who the cast is haha!

I've never seen it before. Is it just a cast of 2? It's more expensive that a lot of other Southwark shows (although still a bargain) so I'm expecting A listers.

Interesting to be an actor-musician production when it's a cast of two.

Interesting to be an actor-musician production when it's a cast of two. The description on the Southwark Playhouse website says they’ll play the piano (presumably for each other’s songs) accompanied by a four piece band.
