I thought it had not worked because the system was loading something for ages but then I found the confirmation in my inbox.

Glad it wasn't just me struggling with the site, not loading the seats, date (month) selection sticking, timed out twice. Thought it was my browser and was kicking myself for not running a check yesterday. I've got more expensive seats than I'd wanted but first night / last night. So am "happy". Calming cuppa called for.

Weirdly, Tuedays seem to be cheaper than most Mondays and Wednesdays. (£125 for rows D & E, versus £135 or £145). Has there been some annoucement that Imelda Staunton is not appearing on Tuesdays?

I’m not understanding everyone saying it’s expensive? I got front of the royal circle for £140- don’t think that’s bad!

Glad to pay £45 for this and no more
Staunton is such a humourless and po faced actor
And her most recent association with the car crash which is the last season of The Crown
Isn’t endearing in any way

I find the LW Theatres site to be 'glitchy' in general.

Having been robbed by Madonna and Girls Aloud this year, these prices seem fairly reasonable to me.

Yeah I don't think these prices are unreasonable considering the team onstage and off...

First three Stalls rows are not yet on sale by the way. Also large parts of other rows never available too, so presumably ring-fenced for other booking channels. Why all channels cannot share the same inventory pool from the same database in modern times, probably says a lot about the legacy IT that is presumably in use at LW Theatres. They have probably learned from the Wizard or Oz debacle where the stage was so high they had to refund lots of ticket holders who couldn’t see anything at the front. Either that or they are putting the standard Hello Dolly Passerelle in which will knock out seats

On whether the tickets are expensive...
Compared to the aborted 2020 Adelphi show, my front stalls seats have increased in price from £79.50 to £125.00. That's a 57% increase, (equivalent to a rate of inflation of 12% for each of the last four years). In reality, RPI over the last four years has been 30%, so that's a hefty price hike in real terms.
Actually, it's worse than that. My original booking was for a Thursday and my new one for a Tuesday. For like-for-like, it's an increase from £79.50 to £135.00, so an increase of 70% compared to the RPI increase of 30% over the same period.
And it's now in an auditorium with more seats (2,286 vs 1,500). Definitely the producers getting VERY greedy I think.

Don't know if just luck but for those struggling it might be worth trying again. I forgot so just logged on now. Said I was queue number 12250. Wait time one minute and got through and bought tickets without any gitching and have received the confirmation email!

Yes, all those in the initial queue have now either bought or decided to wait/not to bother having seen the prices. So there are few concurrent users now. The "queue number" seems to include all those who have gone before, rather than actually still queueing.

Very expensive, and they seem to have let everyone on all at once. The site can no longer process payments as a result. I did think it odd that I went straight from waiting room to going in, never in an actual queue! Too pricy for me I think. I got through straight away, no queue, although it said I was in a queue , the prices are too high for decent seats, for me anyway. Then there’s the train fare to add in , if the trains are running. I’ll give it a miss for now, and see if there are any offers nearer the time (unlikely I know ).

To be honest some of the creative team are what concern me. I don't want a minimally staged and designed Hello Dolly. Not at the Palladium and at those prices

Due to the glitch, I was charged twice for the same seat at DIFFERENT PRICES lol. I bought a seat, was apparently kicked out of the basket, so I clicked on it again and clicked purchase again. Then I got two different booking references for two different prices for the same seat!!! :0 I've emailed them for a refund on the second dynamically increased purchase. On a serious note, does that suggest some of our purchased seats during the glitch will have been resold to OTHER people?
Vis a vis the show, Imelda Staunton was so good in Gypsy, Sweeney Todd and Follies, I can't wait to see this. . . unless my seat just got resold again to someone else!

What are the prices for this?0 It seems to vary depending on the day, but Fridays for example range from £29 to £150. There’s also some very restricted view seats available for £20.
