We had a fab time at this today. I didn’t know there was going to be music in it so that was a delightful surprise! Can anyone recall the names of all the songs in it? Me and Mum both forgot the name of the first Bingley-Jane song and it’s driving us barmy now…. Will you still love me tomorrow

And in addition to that "Everyday I Write the Book", "Lady in Red", "Young Hearts Run Free", "Everybody Knows (Except You?)", "Holding Out for a Hero", "You're So Vain" and possibly something else

So sad to see this close last night. This is really a fantastic show and if the tour goes ahead and there's a date you can get to, I highly recommend it. And I really hope it returns to the West End in a time where there's more of a capacity for it to generate the buzz it deserves. The energy is great when there's a full house.
Shame about the people in the front row who spent all of act one on their phones, taking pictures and talking. What a horrible attitude to display directly in front of the cast on their final show (or indeed any cast in any show). Thankfully someone spoke to them in the interval and they weren't as bad in act two.

I saw those people too - they were so rude & distracting- they were passing an illuminated phone between them. I saw an usher move to the front at the side, but she couldn't get to them 'cos they were in the middle of the row.
I really enjoyed the energy of the rest of the audience: they were enthusiastic without being too much so and I did like their cheers for when Caroline made one of her entrances and at the kiss at the end!

It has won a (In my opinion well deserved) Olivier! Pity it is too late to give the box office a boost but maybe it will help with the tour.

Great news that this is going on tour. On pre-sale to members at The Lowry for January 2023.

There are loads of tour dates now up for sale! Currently Cornwall, Aberdeen, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Cambridge, Sheffield, Salford, Coventry and Richmond. Starting in September. There are good looking £5 side view stalls available in Glasgow, and a 'pay what you can' preview for Edinburgh (on sale in September) for those near there! Very excited to see this again. prideandprejudicesortof.com/uk-tour

I bagged the £5 side view at Richmond. Cannot wait. It was the funniest thing I have ever seen in a theatre. So so good. Delighted it is coming back!

I reviewed this in Cambridge last night, absolutely brilliant. Well worth catching on tour if you can.

This has gone down a storm at The Lowry this week. Selling very well, with five-star rave reviews from its press night in Salford.
All five of the new touring cast are simply sensational. This was my third time seeing the show and I think this was the performance I enjoyed the most.
It's certainly the most engaged audience I've been part of for a while. The enjoyment in the room was tangible from the off, while the rapturous standing ovation at the curtain call was Come From Away esque!

This went down well in Newcastle as well; I was at the Thursday matinee which was pretty packed out. Being a slightly older audience, I wondered what they would make of it but they seemed to love it (as did I). A cast of 5 extremely talented actor-musicians, bursting with energy and very funny. Would definitely recommend if the tour is coming near you!

I saw this twice in Newcastle last week - what a show!!! Given that I'm a self-confessed period drama/Jane Austen hater I went to see this with some trepidation, but within the first two minutes of the pre-show auditorium dusting was laughing like a drain, and by the end of the show I just wanted to see more and more.
The 5 performers are so incredibly talented - doing the quick costume changes, remembering props/musical instruments etc. must take so much concentration, let alone remembering lines and accents.
I wish it had been on for another week, and I've have gone another couple of times!

I hope the people i am taking to each love it too!

Saw this tonight in Coventry, can't really add much to the praise from others, this was just great. Well done to all involved, a great piece of theatre and lovely to see such high standards on tour.

At the Belgrade Thursday night (circle closed, stalls 80% full), I was disappointed not to enjoy this. The humour was not on my wavelength sadly.
P&P*(*SO) reminded me of some of the poorer comedy dramas on Radio 4 at 18:30, which I occasionally catch on my drive home from work after Sara Cox has offended my ears with some abomination from the Radio 2 playlist. In order words, it was just not very funny. The occasional wry smile was about as far as it went.
This was no fault of the all-female cast of five who each excelled in their multiple roles with gusto, but I struggled to maintain interest in Act 1, actually dozing off a couple of times. A glass of wine at the interval made Act 2 more bearable.
A few audience members were clearly having a ball, but there was no ovation and the end applause felt more polite than enthusiastic.
Generously, three stars I think.
Act 1: 19:29*-20:36 Act 2: 20:56-22:03 * Oddly, after the pre-show audience interaction, the play proper began early.

Caught this at Eastbourne Congress last night. Totally swamped by the huge auditorium Difficult to hear. Seemed to be so overdone and shouty in order to get it across the vast emptiness. Not enough variety in the comedy. One lot of silly dancing followed by lots more, Might have appreciated it more in a fringe setting.,Afraid could only stay for half,Just not my cup of tea I guess.

Touring again from September 2024, starting at Newcastle Theatre Royal. Perhaps there will be fewer babies in the audience for this. David Pugh has gone into partnership with Cunard.

Back at The Grand in Wolverhampton today for this. Good fun…five actresses multi-role playing a frantic,fast-paced parody/farce/pastiche mash-up of the novel with a karaoke vibe thrown in. All the players did well but Rhianna McGreevy was the stand out for me as the gradually disintegrating Mrs Bennet and the haughty Mr Darcy. Not a big crowd…bought a £22 seat and got moved to front stalls with other grateful patrons! Well worth a visit

At my local theatre this week! Hasn’t sold well at all sadly so got a heavily discounted ticket for a restricted view for £9! Hoping to be moved as it’s barley sold 40% capacity of the venue but very much looking forward to it! Will share thoughts after I see it on Wednesday.

Just out of the matinee now. I loved it! Didn’t get moved from my restricted view on the upper circle but had a good view if I learnt forward. The audience was mainly pensioners but there was some people with kids which is always good to see. I very much enjoyed it, everyone I talked to about the play before seeing it said it sounded like an awful concept for a play and I can see why but they way it’s executed is incredible! The audience was half full but laughed and cheered at every significant moment. My enjoyment was slightly let down by the woman sitting next to me who seemed to have a couple to drink and wasn’t her first time seeing the show. She cheered at every character entrance and heckled twice. But she didn’t fully ruin it as she shut up in the second half. An easy 4* for me! Go and see it if it’s near you on tour!!!
