I think that website might have the wrong end of the stick there, surely they'd record it on the US Tour set? It's the only site with that line as far as I can see.

Saw someone tweet it's getting filmed here because of equity laws or something! Just don't see why they'd send the set and cast over here to film it, then head back! Unless they leave it here for a short run- but it's unlikely.

Wow! If they’re gonna film it in time for a December showing they’ll have to get a move on!

The main thing here is how does one get to be part of the audience?!

Is it not likely that they actually filmed it already whilst it was still on at the Palace, and they are simply announcing what they already have? Seems like a massive ball ache to re-erect the sets and rehearse the cast (who may now be working on different contracts) just for a tv show?

Instagram shows the cast is now in rehearsals. Also, it seems they're going to have 3 shows in london, and will film all three. Maybe it won't be the full sets?

I did note that quite a lot of the performances in Boston were cancelled in the second week. Might this have something to do with it?

Hopefully there is a chance to be part of the audience for this and it's not some private or invited audience. Would be a cool experience.

Anyone got any info on how tickets are acquired because 😭😂 Got a source for that? 🤔 Just going off what I’ve been reading on a couple of posts on Facebook and stuff but quite a lot of people are saying that so I’m assuming it could be right? They’ve not even announced its 100% in the UK so any lead is worth it atm

Saw the tour in Boston today and the “scaled down” version is still pretty big, it’s just the elements outside of the proscenium that are gone now, and the big “web” has been replaced with movable ladders. Didn’t feel that it diminished the production values at all.

I have a lot of new information regarding Spongebob: Live on Stage Firstly yes, the show will be filming in the UK, but not in the West End though as previously reported by filmedonstage. Instead the show will be filmed in Plymouth at the Theatre Royal. I suspect this could be likely to due to lack of availability of theatres in London that could support the massive scale of the Spongebob set. All cast members such as Ethan, Danny and creatives such as Tina (Director) and David (Set/costume designer) have posted on their Instagram stories/posts that they are in the UK right now. Most of the original Broadway cast will be returning however Lili Cooper (who played Sandy) will not be returning due to her current role in Toostie on Broadway. Christina Sajous will be taking the role. The set design they will be using is a mix of the current touring production and the Broadway set. The part of the stage which slopes down on each side which was present in the broadway set will be returning. The ladder backdrop which served as Mount humongous will be returning as well; the touring production replaced this. I have no clue regarding Squidward's sign as of yet; the touring set replaces it with a projection on the backdrop. The ball launchers will be retuning as well. It's nice that Nick saved most of the set pieces from the broadway set. The filming dates are reported as being November 7-8 but this is not confirmed. No clue how to be apart of the audience. I suspect Nick will invite children from the local area. If you want a sneak peek of the set design. Its here: www.facebook.com/groups/1901732839855122/

I read somewhere else it isn’t being filmed start to finish but more like how a tv show is. They have invited home-school type groups to come along but not ones too little so they don’t have too mamy fidgety children getting bored.

I saw this on Broadway and thought it was great.
I knew absolutely nothing about SB, but still found the whole thing enjoyable.
Some of the musical numbers were spectacular!
