This will very much depend on the rest of the cast for me. It definitely needs Liza Tarbuck, Tim Downie, Dominic Coleman (and the Theatre troupe) and Rob Rouse. I can do without the rest of his family, but if they can get the daughter that’d be good. |

It's pricey. All stalls 85 quid except for back two rows. Though I stand to be corrected as I only had a brief look at one or two dates.

Booked. All shows are the same price. Add £2.50 per ticket booking fee. Stalls B to U £85, V and W £55. Premiums all G to M except outer 4 seats £150 / £125. Dress D to H, plus end pairs A to C: £85, centre A to C premium £150 / £125. Upper A to E centre £55, restricted ends £20. F to J all £30. Slips AA £12.50. Ah. In that case Mr Elton can quietly go and stuff it. No way am I paying anywhere near 85 quid for that! Didn't pay that much for Dame Maggie! |

Haven't heard of this tv show (I don't have English tv  YET ), but I love me some Shakespeare and I love David Mitchell, so I'm very tempted to book for this! Since I happen to be in London for a couple of days in February, this would be perfect! Any ideas if the slips AA in the Grand Circle are nice value for money? Or would I be better off buying a moderately restricted view seat at the edge of row A in the grand circle? Don't want to spend a fortune on this  Also, out of curiosity: isn't it strange that previews and the actual 'finished' show have the same prices? |

What's your professional opinion on the £20 seats? I have checked your website but that's set up for Les Mis where they're £40. I'm vaguely interested in this but, given I've never seen the TV series, not interested enough to pay more than about £20.

Those prices look insane. Isn't Ben Elton rich enough after We Will Rock You and everything else he's done? It's unfathomable that he'd expect people to cough up that much! Expecting lots and lots of discounts and offers nearer the time I hope! |

What's your professional opinion on the £20 seats The big problem isn't the seats - it's people leaning forward and blocking your view. If you can stand the legroom then row A is the one. All you really lose is the front corner of the stage nearest to you. When people behave, I really liked the aisle end on row E as well. Thanks for the advice. I've just tried to book a row A seat but have fallen foul of the damn single seat rule. I will call into the box office tomorrow & see if I can get what I want in person. |

The prices are horrid. I'm justifying it to myself because it is my 65th birthday trip to London and this trip is all about the theatre.

Amazing ticket offer on todaytix!
After convincing myself I wouldn't go because of the ridiculous prices, I bagged a seat for the matinee this Saturday for £29.50 on todaytix: Stalls L14! If I'm not mistaken, these seats are sold on the official website as premium tickets for £127.50. Now excuse me while I am being overly excited about 1. having found a great bargain and 2. getting to see this playyyyy!!!

Thanks for the heads up irisjeregenboog , wanted to see this but after attending a TV recording for free found it difficult to reconcile the ticket prices, picked a centre stalls for the same price for tomorrow night. |

Yep would be fine I sat in row c dress circle last Night and view was great . It’s pretty much and open stage with most happening centre stage
Would maybe avoid front row for this one if in the stalls
Had a great night last night watching this book is very funny and faithful to the source packed with Shakespeare references and Gemma Whelan was the standout !! Well worth grappling those cheap
Seats and we got dynamic pricing when we booked

Took a while to get in its stride as it sets up the situations to come but well worth it, wondered what felt different and then realised the lack of West End comedies over the last few years and having a good laugh in the Theatre has been something of a rarity.
Shakespeare references aplenty, a splattering of Political jibes and enough laugh out moments to make it worthwhile especially with the offers over the last couple of day.
