All booked for this as a birthday treat next weekend and we're combining it with the Noel Coward exhibition at the Guildhall earlier in the day.
I absolutely love Jennifer Saunders, although I've never quite forgiven her for Viva Forever. This sort of light, fun theatre is particularly enjoyable at the moment though. Really looking forward to it and will report back.

Really quite enjoyed this tonight.
A nice light jaunt, enough gags and twists and turns to make the 2 hrs 40 fly by.
All the main actors did a great job with nobody letting the side down.
They checked everyone's covid certificate but weren't strict on masks.
Got a nice seat in the centre of dress circle from todaytix rush. Was a bit warm.

Have they started to get the running time down? It was 2 hours 55 mins last night.
Amusing but painfully slow, and more walk outs than I can remember seeing.

I hope the final effects were good.

This production has the most annoying and counter-productive COVID policy I've seen. They're requiring proof of vaccination, of which I approve, and trying to space out arrivals by requesting people start arriving at 6 pm, which is also good in theory. Unfortunately, the house doesn't open until 6:45 pm, so those who arrive early end up in a squash in the lobby or the bars. There's also no place to sit in the tiny lobby (which is constantly filling as more people arrive, even if they eventually move on to the bar). If I have to show up 90 minutes prior to the curtain, the least they can do is let me sit in my seat.

2.5 hrs on the dot tonight. I’ll agree with earlier comments - it’s pleasant and fun but nothing spectacular. Saunders is good with a strong supporting cast. This was my first time seeing the play and seeing the story so I did enjoy it. Rush ticket in the front row a great place to see the show.

Really enjoyed this last night, especially after a trip to the Coward exhibition at the Guildhall earlier in the afternoon. A trip to the City was a treat in amongst the crazy bustle of central London yesterday, which was a bit intense for some reason!
Really enjoyed Jennifer’s performance and was pleasantly surprised by her characterisation. I’m a big fan but I know she can be a bit lazy sometimes and rely on all her tried and tested mannerisms and physical comedy. There was a bit of that here, but I actually thought her performance was well considered and very, very funny.
Lisa Dillon as Ruth was the other standout for me, who really kept things moving and the laughs coming when Jennifer was off stage.
First time seeing Blithe Spirit and I’m not sure it’s Coward’s best work, but a very fun night out at the theatre.

My very last theatre visit last March before theatres closed, I am looking forward to seeing it again today.
Rush seats are good.
