Kate Fleetwood stars as Cruella.
An excellent choice I think!

Weirdly there are at least two previous musical versions of this - The 101 Dalmatians Musical from 2009 (a professional production with no Disney involvement) Disney's 101 Dalmatians for Kids which looks like it's licensed for amateur productions only plus at least four non-musical stage versions by Glyn Robbins (1997), Debbie Isitt (2000), Bryony Lavery (2014) and Sally Cookson (also 2014)! So presumably Disney haven't managed to get hold of the professional stage rights. The the Birmingham Rep production a few years ago

Probably a very stupid question but i’m curious: Ive never seen the film or any productions of 101 Dalmatians (but I know the general story). How’re they going to do the show without actual dogs? kids in costumes? Or do they actually do it with really well trained dogs lol? Sorry for being dumb 😂! Birmingham rep just did it with tonnes of cute puppets - worked well!

Just found this uploaded on what would've been the opening night; Douglas Hodge performing 'Bury That Bone'

Just found this uploaded on what would've been the opening night; Douglas Hodge performing 'Bury That Bone' Coincidentally, Mischief Movie Night's 9pm show was set at Battersea Dogs' Home, so Regent's Park had some dogs (admittedly played by humans) on stage yesterday after all!

2021 run cancelled. No new dates announced as yet. As sad as this is (I was planning on taking my two children with me to see this), I do wonder if this may mean the return of the JCS concert at some point there this summer?

I would imagine they might try to adapt Evita to a bit more of a concert style rather than roll out JCS again.
It was fairly concert-like from what I saw so they wouldn't have to change it dramatically.

No casting news on the website at the moment so it's unclear if Kate Fleetwood is still attached.

Do you think they will sell the grass banks for this show or will they be used for the dogs to go wee!

Just booked for both musicals. Hopefully they will be able to rehearse in the new year ahead of the Summer. What is the food like from 'The Grill' as I was temped to add the food deal to my booking?
