It's a bit pricey, I'll wait for the cast announcement. What a dream it would be if they could get Victoria Clark to reprise the Fairy Godmother.

Could this be the show that was circling the Dominion if this concert proves popular? Especially as this is semi staged rather than the usual straight up concert version usually performed here?

I did this show in my first year of college. However the revival / most recent Broadway version (Osnes) - has changed the book quite a bit and cut songs! Very pricey...............

Well I do love these concert performances at Cadogan Hall, especially when the brilliant LMTO are involved, but my usual Stalls row P seats are already gone and with the cheapest at £32.50 I think I'll give this one a miss until offers come along...

I've already got Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella booked on 19 October at the Thamesde Theatre in Grays. It's also on at Southend from 6-9 November. Both (different) amateur productions. Is this concert performance likely to be broadly the same or are there two different versions ?
Agree this is a bit pricey at Cadogan . Don't think it will sell as well as Dr.Zhivago so could well be offers nearer the time.

They've got rid of the bargain seating locations.
Still, one of my favourite musicals and can't miss this. Just treated myself to a front row seat.
It's the recent Broadway book and song list, with the political subplot, which is much better than the traditional version. I did see it once in the States and a little girl sat near to me was moaning to her Mum, "that's not what happens in Cinderella", so bear that in mind. There's nothing offensive, but I'm not sure if it's really aimed at a child audience.

And cast Rebecca Trehearn as the Fairy Godmother. Her Impossible will sound amazing. Just cast Rebecca in anything and everything.

I’ve never been before - are gallery seats at Cadogan Hall any good?
I’m thinking of sitting close to the side of the stage in the gallery

Any other speculation or rumours about casting? When do you think we can expect an announcement?

Any other speculation or rumours about casting? When do you think we can expect an announcement? October isn’t that long away so I’m guessing in the next two weeks probably. Is this going to be fully/semi staged or is it going to be more of a concert? Will the cast be wearing costumes at least? Thanks

I’m thinking of sitting close to the side of the stage in the gallery They're ok but you may have to lean forward a bit and might miss anything at the extreme side of the stage. I'd go further away from the stage if you want to minimise that. And it takes ages to get out if you're upstairs. But otherwise they're fine 😀

Jac Yarrow is a weird one for me. Seems too young for the role and I think Christine Allado with her powerful voice could overwhelm him a bit! But decent casting 👍

Jac Yarrow, current flavour of the month. Last year it was Charlie Stemp.
That apart, was hoping for a matinee, like they did with Dr Zhivago. I know it's a 6.30 start, but still a no go for me. Oh well, never mind.

Super thrilled. Haven’t seen Dianne Pilkington since she first started doing Wicked so it’s going to be very special I feel. I’m particularly looking forward also to hearing the 21 piece London Musical Theatre Orchestra playing the score. Wish it wasn’t a one night only

TodayTix deal alert - seats now from £20 😀 Great tip. I think the £25 stalls seats are a better deal than the £20 gallery seats. Booked one in row E, Cadogan price £59. I always check the venue prices first on these deals and this is definitely a good'un. Also seeing an amateur R & H Cinderella the previous evening in Grays having had it on my wish list for a couple of years !

Stalls are completely sold out and 80% of the gallery too. The casting, the publicity and discounting have clearly worked. Greatly looking forward to seeing this on Sunday.
