I've been seeing this a lot on Twitter this morning. I do love these semi-staged at the Cadogan, will absolutely be going!

Lovely easy booking process. Row B for £20 less than the premium - I've tried to see what you get for premium (snog with Ramin?) ... Gone for the 6.00 show. V happy.

I nearly did the same as you but I do love the actual front row whenever I can get it. It's a beautiful hall and they've developed a niche market for semi-staged / concert performances of musicals on Sundays. Two I saw there recently , Carousel and Clockmaker's Daughter, were both wonderful so high hopes for Doctor Zhivago.

Yes, booking was a breeze through presale. Lots of availability for the 2pm, anyway, which was what I wanted... I’ve gone for side view row G. Sat on the side before and the view is fine. My bank account didn’t fancy the more expensive seats!

Booked tickets for both performances. Ramin and Sierra will be just perfect as the leading couple.

Just realized Sierra's husband (if they are still married, I hope they are), Tam Mutu, played the title role in BW. He looked and sounded very good in YouTube clips.

Booked for the 2pm show in row G stalls, the front section has all gone in the time I've been at work. The score for this is lovely - add in Ramin and I'm there. Not sure I've ever seen Celinde in anything actually, but I've heard good things about her.

Booked tickets for both performances. Ramin and Sierra will be just perfect as the leading couple. Hate to disappoint, but it's Ramin and Celinde Shoenmaker, not Sierra ... (I think they are doing "something" together "somewhere" but not UK). And Sierra and Tam broke up years ago, never married, as I understand it. So much disappointment in just one post. Sorry

Oh, thank you for the update and correction. Sorry about the break-up but happy to see Celine.

As no-one else has commented, I saw on Twitter yesterday there will be open auditions for some of the roles - confirmed by an email from Lambert Jackson Productions received last night.
One year ago, we promised that when we produced our first musical, we would always try and see all talent, and that at least 10% of our casts would be new talent... And we are thrilled to say that we are accepting open submissions for Doctor Zhivago. *THIS IS A PAID PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITY* Please see the casting breakdown below. If you feel you are a good fit for any of these roles, please email eliza@lambertjackson.co.uk with your CV, headshot and a video of yourself singing a song in the style of the show. Submissions close on Thursday 18th July at 5pm.
Roles -
Viktor Komarovsky / Gender: Male / Age Range: 40-60 / Voice type: Baritone / Vocal Range: B# - F / Supporting role. A powerful attorney. Pasha Antipov/Strelnikov / Gender: Male / Age Range: 25-35 / Voice type: Tenor / Vocal Range: Must be able to comfortably sing G. / Supporting role. Revolutionary leader. Tonia Gromeko / Gender: Female / Age Range: 25-35 / Voice type: Mezzo-soprano / Vocal Range: G – F# / Supporting role. Yurii’s wife. Alexander Gromeko / Gender: Male / Age Range: 55-70 / Voice type: Baritone / Vocal Range: C – B (above middle C) / Smaller supporting role. Tonia’s father. / This role will also double as ensemble. Anna Gromeko / Gender: Female / Age Range: 55-70 / Voice type: Mezzo-soprano / Vocal Range: Cb – A (above middle C) / Smaller supporting role. Tonia’s mother. /This role will also double as ensemble. Olya / Gender: Female / Age Range: 20-30 / Voice type: Mezzo-soprano / A Homesick Nurse / This role will also double as ensemble <End!
I really like the idea of this. And the range of ages. Anyone else have thoughts?

Here’s the original Broadway cast album, if of interest to any of you.

Any Indications of an approximate run time including interval - would it be in the region of 2 - 2.5hrs?

Haven't seen any yet, it's selling pretty well but still decent availability. I'm hoping there'll be deals in the next couple of days. Although decent gallery seats are only £25 (plus the annoying £3 fee)

Has anyone ever sat in the £25 gallery seats? I've been to Cadogan a few times but only for classical music, never a semi staged concert like this and I usually sit in the outer edge seats in the stalls. I was thinking about C6 in the gallery for the afternoon performance. Does anyone have any advice? Thanks!

Those seats offer good views and, in general, better sound than the stalls seats when they use awful amplifiers. BTW, I heard Ramin is scheduled to play the role of Juda in a concert version of JCS in Japan and possibly in some other Asian countries in the autumn. I think his voice and looks are very much suited to the role.
