I know Hayley Atwell has done a lot of theatre lately but it'd be nice if she was able to do a play for the new Jamie Lloyd Company season, she was brilliant in The Pride,
Given Lloyd has directed revivals of The Pride and Apologia, I hope we get a revival of The Faith Machine.

I’ve never seen this play or the film version, so I guess this is a good opportunity to tick it off.
Interesting that they are targeting cheap tickets specifically at first-time theatre-goers - I wonder how they’ll assess that?!

Did anyone on here use the keyworker discount during the Pinter at the Pinter season? I work in a hospital, but not on a ward, so I don't know if I'd qualify or not? I tried googling a definition of a keyworker and it basically says its ward/clinical staff, but also may include non-ward staff. So it seems incredibly vague...

If you're an ATG card holder, like me as of about a fortnight ago, when do they actually tell you this sort of thing (I picked WE as my region)? Or do you get no advance notice?

It’s a complete lottery. I never get any ATG emails, despite the customer services repeatedly confirming that I’m on the TheatreCard mailing list and various venue mailing lists. Some members get the emails but they arrive late, and a small percentage get them regularly and on time. Cross your fingers and hope for the best. |

Got an email announcing that priority booking is open, after it opened.
Prices are obscene! £77.50 or £67.50 for restricted view seats in the dress circle!! Loads of pointless "experience" tickets - £144 including a drink and some macaroons and some cheese. Cheapest I can see in the stalls or dress is £67.50 - this is for restricted dress or the very back row of the stalls. £37.50 for restricted view upper circle!!! £67.50 for upper circle with a warning of "Limited leg room".
Only thing cheaper is the couple of seats on the edges of the upper circle, which are restricted view and/or limited leg room, for £15.

Well, I needed a laugh to perk me up on this grey Monday morning, and the pricing for this production has more than sorted me out on that front. It's a good thing I neither rate Jamie Lloyd that highly nor have any special need to see James McAvoy on stage again.....

I just got the email and wanted to book but there are no dates between the 21.12. and 30.12.
Why is that? Does anyone know? Do they have a week off between Christmas and New Years?
I really wanted to see this but this is the only time I could go. 😔

Regarding the keyworker discount tickets ...
Those performances are not on sale at all yet, so presumably these performances are dedicated entirely to the £15 tickets. Which feels a bit like those housing developments where the people in the social housing aren't allowed to use the same entrance as everyone else. Good news for those who have paid £150 for the cheeseboard and macaroon package, they can guarantee they won't be sitting next to someone who's on benefits.
Despite the fact I in no way qualify for these seats this makes me even more annoyed than the original pricing announcement!

Just checked what I paid for The Ruling Class in 2015 - that was £52.50 for row E stalls in 2015 - assume that was top price. With 4 years inflation that would be about £60 today. Which wouldn't get you anything in the stalls or dress circle this time round!

Theatrical egos inflate faster than the RPI/CPI - so that would explain the ludicrous pricing on this

Managed to get my stalls row D ticket for £72. Bit painful but James McAvoy is great on stage so let's hope it's money well spent...
