Glad I’ve booked twice. And neither on Monday danb! I am on a Monday, but if James Gant is the alternate I’d be made up. He’s ace.

Opening night has moved forward! Extra performance on Saturday 22nd Feb, v. good seat availability. I've not been on this thread, only alerted by Killian retweeting his casting. I did have an idle plan to book for a revisit to Phantom in the GILT tix release, but am now heading North of Watford for the this first night.

He does in London, and its a bigger sing than Javert so heres hoping. I can’t see anyone else in the cast that fits the bill.

I was waiting for the announcement. Glad Vinny gets ro be in it but I cant now get to Leicester for a ticket before Christmas they will probably sell out.
Also anyone around London Stations esp Waterloo St Ps and London Bridge. Brad Barnley and Lydia Gerrard go busking I heard them one day at work and was like they need to be on stage. They sing POTO and he is covering Raoul and Phantom and she is covering Christine. They said they will still do it until they start touring so if you catch them its a fab treat.

I can’t see anyone else in the cast that fits the bill. Actually Phantom is usually contracted to sing all 8 shows - certainly that's the case in London where he has a standby, not an alternate. It's not that big a sing in the grand scheme of things.

Just assumed that Scott Davis? was the alternate he’s on so often. Good to know.

The cast announcement includes the alternate Christine, so I would assume that if there was going to be an alternate Phantom, they would have been mentioned too?

Ah such a shame that Killian Donnelly won’t be appearing at Sunderland. Awaiting the next cast announcement then!

Pleased with the cast (and relieved it's not Lee Mead lol).
They just need a decent marketing push for Manchester now!

“exact replica of the West End and Broadway production” apparently

“exact replica of the West End and Broadway production” apparently But "lighter on its feet". Even replica productions are usually scaled down to tour, and given there is as little as five days between some of the venues, I suspect we will see changes similar to those used in the recent International tour.
Even the 1998 replica UK tour, which played 16-week runs and took two weeks to set up at each venue, was simplified. Glyn Cook, Cameron Mackintosh's technical co-ordinator, said at the time: "We have made a lot of things simpler. There used to be trapdoors in the floors and all sorts but it's not feasible to do that any more for this length of run."

Ha really loose interpretation of the term "exact replica" Ms Koravos... guess we'll just have to wait until rehearsal pictures come out to see for ourselves.

I assumed by 'exact replica' she just means the original direction, staging and set design with the falling chandelier. As opposed to the new version which toured the UK in 2012, where (if I remember correctly) the chandelier didn't fall at all.

Lots of promotion going on for the tour. They've definitely upped the promo in Manchester. Adverts on all the electronic boards in city centre and an absolutely enormous version of this poster across the side of the Arndale centre

Greg Castiglioni needs to start getting down the chippy if he’s going to convince us as Piangi!
I’m assuming the big lad on the left with the shorts and hoodie is our Joseph Buquet (hold your tongue!)

I have been to his concerts and he is wonderful and doesa heck of a Music of the Night. He has grown into a wonderful performer. I am tired to seeing Killian in all the time. That is why I stopped seeing him lol.
