I did laugh last night when reviewing the show on Front Row they played a clip of Bad Cinderella and the presenter followed up with, "well, maybe that bit doesn't show it at its best!" I remember it being much better than that last night, honest guv! Point of interest, how are the moving seats in the auditorium any different from what was done with Cats 40 years ago? Given how technology has moved on it doesn't seem that big a coupe de théâtre that everyone's raving about.

He said that he didn't feel it was "representative" of the experience of the show as a whole, in that there was a lot of subtlety in the show which he appreciated, and obviously this piece isn't "subtle" as such. He is not saying that it should be subtle either, nor that he doesn't like the song. This wasn't intended by him as a criticism. I do understand where he's coming from because sometimes you can like a particular song from the show but not necessarily want that particular song as the vehicle to sell the show to audiences who haven't seen it. They may then assume that the show is made up of rock songs like that one for example. His preference would be to show a song that is more representative of the score as a whole.

I think it's due to the fact the revolving seats have not been used SINCE Cats - so, for many (the younger demographic for whom CINDERELLA will appeal) it's a new experience and one you can't experience anywhere apart from Disney's The Carousel of Progress.

Hahahaha That's about as close to rock as Dolly Parton is to grunge. And if he wanted to play something more representative why didn't he agree to do so with the producer beforehand. It amused me anyhow!

Yeah I am hopefully for some "clips" of the big songs (and non-official videos) of Far too Late; Only You, Lonely You; and maybe I know who you are

I enjoyed this again tonight, and the revolving seats were fun. Ivano was particularly brilliant tonight I thought.

There are two seats on sale in row F of the moving section that are only £90, vs the rest being a squillion pound. Anyone know why? Its not dynamic pricing because its months away that I’m looking at.

Am pleased to see they’ve toned Cinders ball wig down! They switched that a while ago (or were at least experimenting with their options)...

Its not dynamic pricing because its months away that I’m looking at. I've noticed that on the advance booking plans as well. You get random seats at different prices. No idea why. No idea if it's deliberate or an IT glitch. From what I've seen at the show, am fairly sure it's not because the view is worse than the surrounding seats. If you can risk holding out the moving section side blocks do dynamically price down really quite dramatically.

Some of the new dialogue in the Ball was also there by the last preview. Honestly not sure there were many changes during the dark period!

Going well so far this afternoon, started 30 minutes late and we are currently in a show stop (we’ve had just over 5 minutes of the show).

Carrie Hope Fletcher? I’m not sure I’m feeling it! Hilarious. I literally predicted him doing this schtick a few pages back - almost word for word!!! Brilliant. Carrie Hope Fletcher is THE future household name megastar of mainstream entertainment... ...just like Sierra Boggess, Ramin Karimloo, Connie Fisher, Jodie Prenger, Lee Mead, Ben Forster and every other actor he has had a sudden, all-consuming crush on. Until he gets bored and finds a new one, that is. It's embarrassing at this stage.

We’ve finally reached the interval. I’m enjoying it so far, but I do have a few issues. The queen’s and stepmother’s are forgettable, and I have issues with the Man’s Man song in particular. Full principal cast but a few swings are on - Carrie is excellent, as are the stepsisters. The costumes for the male ensemble look rather uncomfortable, and for some, only appear to be wearing half a costume as they appear to have forgotten about the top half. I’m in the section that moves in the second act, so I’m looking forward to that.

I’m not saying any of the people mentioned aren’t talented or worthy of praise (they are!), but ALW goes so over the top it makes it ridiculous.
