On the other hand though, Shrek or most of the Disney stuff is known EXCLUSIVELY for the movies they're based on.
Prince of Egypt though, while based on an animated movie, is the well-known biblical epic of Moses, so it may well transcend its movie source and lure people in based on the source material alone.

Well the theatre doubles up as a church every Sunday perhaps the producers could do a sleep-in rate?

Relying on the religious audience didn't work well for Bernadette...

It was directed by Stephen Schwartz son, Scott. So i'd expect its the same production as he'd be pretty hard to fire... This is going to be so lost on that huge stage Looks like a well lit school production. Do we think Hillsong are chipping in? 😂

I am not religious at all, but it's just a very well-known story - the French spectacle Les Dix Commandements was a big success over there as well. Just saying that it may not only be of interest to those who saw the movie ages ago.

Well just because it's the same director doesn't mean aspects of the show/staging won't change. This will be the first 'major' run of the show and probably hoping to lead to Broadway, so they easily could be adding a new set. There's no listing for any creatives other than the director and choreographer as they are to be confirmed which means all the other aspects could be new.

Is this a late April Fool’s joke...they are going to sell out the Dominion with this? When do the BOGOF deals start?

It seems like this is a major production. They've used the previous two productions, one in San Francisco and one in Denmark to work on the material, but the staging is probably going to be a different beast. Scott Schwartz is not the best director, though. I've already cast award winning Ariel Stachel as Moses. Norm Lewis has Pharaoh-like qualities to him.

I hate to say this but it's a musical I'm not familiar nor the film. Just looked at the clip above and it looks quite impressive. Didn't some x factor sing that song?

I’ve never heard of the film or the show but I do remember that song being in the charts at some point. Doesn’t pique my interest though.

It’s all making sense now. I wondered who had rented the ‘Pride Rock on wheels’ from the last Lion King tour, but now it’s clear. I’d wanted that for our Am Dram ‘Ten Commandments’ but it was already reserved. Better get the papier mache soaking...

Sadly we won't get Whitney and Mariah trying to outshine each other at the Oscars or the late, incredibly great, Ofra Haza giving us the spine tingling 'Deliver Us' but I must say I'm rather looking forward to seeing how they stage it. It needs to be spectacular!

Have they announced what the fifth song from the film is yet? I hope to God it's The Plagues because that's my favourite song from the film; so haunting.
