Endgame will sell out on the casting alone I'd imagine but dear god its an awful slog of a play.

Not seen it since I was at school - one of our English teachers was obsessed with Beckett and put on loads of his plays. If you've not seen Krapp's Last Tape performed by a 16 year old boy you've not really seen it at all.

It was standard Old Vic scrum; significantly easier than Sea Wall but no harder than anything else.

I worked with his nephew a few years back, he was HOT (not as hot as uncle Alan though).

Yes, booking was actually surpisingly easy (ironically, Facebook reminded me today of a selfie I took with Daniel Radcliffe 2 years ago - I know, I know...)
I guess booking tickets to Lungs may be a more traumatic experience.

Don't remember it being that hard to get tickets for Matt Smith in "Unreachable" or "American Psycho" although in both cases I think they announced his casting after booking had opened. Claire Foy may be more of a draw?

This is definitely true in the case of American Psycho and I don't remember it not being true in the case of Unreachable. The Old Vic is a fairly large theatre though, so it's easier than the Almeida or Royal Court in numbers terms if nothing else.

As much as I like Her Maj and Pip, I'm not entirely sure that they're going to break the Old Vic booking system. What was the last production to cause a bloodbath at the Old Vic on booking day?

Seawall was the last super fast sell out.
Depending on when it starts booking, but I could potentially see Lungs selling fast. Its a short play as well, ( 75 minutes) so may have a short run but a few performances per day

I don't get why they're calling it "ENDGAME (in a double bill with rough for theatre ii)". Most times I've seen a double-bill, they're either both listed (like The Lover/The Collection or Harlequinade/All On Her Own) or they've been given an umbrella name (any of the Pinter At The Pinters). It just seems weird to me.

I was trying to work out when Lungs will be happening, and based on dates for the other shows and a comment from Warchus on the intended length of the run, I fear it's going to be 3 weeks or so around October/November time. Calling it now, Lungs is going to be the one that's tough to get tickets for. (Endgame definitely not so much.)

We're going to be in London for a few days in November and we'll be able to catch the first 'Christmas Carol' preview on Saturday night the 23rd.
Any recommendations regarding seating?

Well done. I'll be chancing my luck with the PcW Walk of Doom screen for a while. Except for Lungs, which might be an idea to get sorted when you can.

I don't suppose Lungs will be going on sale this week with the others, seeing as they haven't even confirmed the run dates. I think I'll let the scrum happen on the day then see what's left on Friday rather than trying to get involved from the get-go. I've never had much problem getting tickets at the Old Vic, I'd rather not use all my energy up on 2020 shows when I'll want to keep some in reserve for when Lungs sorts itself out.

Was Lungs on sale (have they announced dates)? If not then I agree, I won't be bothering with the general madness on Thursday and I'll hold off for that instead.
