Is there a seating plan yet for this, or not?

Not yet. I wouldn't be surprised if it didn't turn up until April or May, June's an awfully long way off right now.

Thanks. So do you just book tickets, and they allocate seats later?

Yeah, they allocate them in order of booking then you find out on the day (or can email them once the seating plan's confirmed to check).

I'm just reading the comic now - it's excellent! Btw, I've always been reluctant to use the word 'graphic novel' because it's rather sterile-sounding and comes across as somehow ashamed of being what it is.

It's not strictly accurate in this case either, as it's not a novel, and "graphic biography" just sounds like some kind of filth-filled tell-all tome.

I think "graphic novel" is a great way to make a difference between these, that are actually books and tell a longer story and "comic strips" that are just short bits to (sometimes) make you chuckle.
Germany has absolutely no tradition of graphic novels except the odd mainstream French-Belgian Bandes Dessinées such as Asterix and Tintin. So when serious graphic novels became a bigger trend in recent years, they were really struggling to name them as the word "Comics" just didn't do them justice and conjured up images of Donald Duck and Garfield. So ultimately we've done what we usually do, we just use the English expression graphic novel now.
Sorry for the linguistic excuse. I LOVED the original graphic novel by Alison Bechdel, can't stand the musical.

I think BD is a better term. I'm old enough (alas) to remember the switch when Maus and things came out, but it's a shame such a boring name has stuck - given the creativity in the genre, I wish they'd come up with something that sounds less like office-speak. And there's always that feeling that 'it's a comic, but aspiring to be a novel' as though it's a little ashamed of being what it is whereas a term like BD suggests a pride in itself - if you see what I mean!

Need your advice as far as seating for this show- theatremonkey, I'm looking at you :-).
The seating plan is already up and working (finally). The set up seems to be similar, but not exactly the same, to the present one for The Inheritance. Does this one have a real stage or is it like, for instance, the Southwark Playhouse where they actually perform on the floor? I am trying to decide between 1st row (which will be bad with a stage, I guess) or 3rd or 4th rows. Anyone with a specific knowledge of the Fun Home setting?
Thanks in advance.

Any idea when those of us who booked through todaytix last July, will get to see their seat allocation? I did it through there too. Looks pretty safe as generic ‘Zone A’ seating seems to be mid centre rows.

will get to see their seat allocation? When I looked at my account, there was a letter and number by my booking which I presume is the seat allocation - mine's B-22.

Weird, I have the confirmation email for me Fun Home tickets in July but it’s not showing up in my TodayTix account in my orders. Is that normal? Are other people seeing theirs showing up in their account?

I ordered straight from the theatre so it's on that account page.

Mines Lucky Dip so I assume I don't find out until I get there? Yes, you need to go to the theatre a little in advance and you will put in a queue just outside the main theatre (still indoors). Once everybody has arrived, so basically two minutes before the show starts they make people with the Lucky Dip enter and they put them in the free seats (unsold or not reclaimed by buyers). Of course, the sooner you arrive before the show the best place you will have in the queue. I used the Lucky Dip option for 'The brothers Size' and I got a very good sit in the second row.
