Is the tour doing the £5 dayseats for 16 - 25 y/o. I picked up a leafet for Sunderland and it had a note on thr back saying that they will be available but does anyone have experience with them on the tour. yes...I don't know the full details but I know they exist! May be worth speaking to Curve?

I'll ring up the Sunderland Empire theatre about it soon. I'm really hoping they do because this is a show I've wanted to see for ages and getting a £5 ticket means I could see it for under £10 with my transport.

Saw the opening for this tonight at the Curve. What an amazing production; it barely feels scaled down at all. The cast were brilliant... Annalise Bradbury was on as Matilda (I think... I was at the back of the stalls and couldn't find a cast board). She gave a faultless performance, her diction when singing was most impressive! Carly Thoms is a delightful Miss Honey, but Craig Els steals the show as Miss Trunchbull. The audience loved him.
Truly cannot fault this tour; don't let the steep prices put you off (you definitely get your money's worth!!)
(Also... shout out to the person who suggested changing "shoot you in the face" to "punch you in the face"...)

Does the show still start stupidly quietly or have they sorted the sound out on this tour?

Heading to the Curve this afternoon - if anyone is there come and say hello. I'll be the fraught looking teacher at the back of the circle with 60 children!
This mornings lesson involves theatre etiquette. I do not want any of my group ending up on the bad behaviour thread!

Well I can’t say I enjoyed the show much (sorry Matilda fans) but the children have loved it and their behaviour was impeccable. So I count that as a good afternoon!

I've just seen it at Leicester and it was as good as I remembered it from Stratford/London. However what has caused me to stop lurking and actually post something was we didn't have the tele song! It is listed in programme and I was back in the auditorium in good time to see it. Did I miss it or has it been cut?

It was included when i went to see it during the first week. No idea if it's been cut but don't see why it would.

tickets went on sale today for Plymouth and just checked to see how it was selling out of curiosity and I was 937 in the queue. So pretty sure its going to be a sell out there.

From September 12th, all future evening performances of Matilda in the West End will begin at 7pm rather than 7:30pm.
Meaning a more family friendly start and end time, the only downside is the cast only gets just under two hours between shows.

Only weekdays so a two show day with a 7pm start time will only happen once a week normally

What's the demand like for the £5 16-25 year old tickets in London? How early is there a queue for people wanting them?

Totally depends on the day you go. Weekdays during term time, about 15 usually trying - 9am seems early enough. School holidays and all weekends, far busier - 7.30am. I'm looking at a Wednesday evening mid July. So it'll still be UK term time but holidays for a lot of the rest of the world.

From Twitter I think Lara is doing a brief stint. Maybe Marianne is having some time off and to avoid confusion over who is playing Mrs Wormwood they have listed her as company for the time being?

I’ve just won the Lottery for a show next week!
I understand that you get Band A tickets - do you get to choose the seats?

When I won the lottery I didn’t have the option of choosing seats and only found out where I would be sitting when I picked up my tickets. It’s definitely worth booking though, I was given row G stalls.

I would have thought of Holly as more a Miss Honey, great casting all round though. I think I'll have to book to go again, it's been a while.
