Has anyone heard of any extension past October yet? I've heard that Sam Barks is joining the judging panel for ITVs Mamma Mia show, I'm wondering if they'll extend and find a new Elsa. Sam has just announced she’ll be out of the show for almost a month in May so maybe this is why. I know they’re currently in the finals of auditions before filming begins. |

I wonder if Sam's voice is getting slightly damaged as she definitely struggles a bit with the last big note n Let it Go lately, I still think she's great though.

I finally got to see it last night, I really enjoyed it, the Let it Go scene was impressive , loved Olaf too, wish he had more stage time. Elsa and Anna perfect.
I liked the jokes too, specially about the 'spare' one LOL
People booing at the prince during curtain call a bit unfair

Frozen now booking up to 7th January 2024.
Anyone have any predictions or wants for cast change? I'd love to see Alice Fearn as Elsa and Lucy St Louis as Anna...

Lucy is also in Wicked until Feb next year so I don't think she'd be available - also she's not particularly funny so I can't imagine her being a good fit for this.
I've heard this is possibly the final extension too and this will bow out in Jan

It'll be a shame if it closes but interesting to see what's next for Drury Lane. |

It doesn't sell during the weeks - I've heard they frequently only have two levels open during the week (which I guess is still around 1000 seats but still....eeeek)

Certainly not anything which could transfer from NYC right now, except perhaps MJ which we know is already going to the Prince Edward. I guess it will keep running until that becomes the case. |

They no longer sell the balcony at all, and have raised their minimum ticket price to 29,5 (used to be 20). And they do struggle to fill during the week. There are lots of offers floating around.

I think Samantha Barks will see this out, I feel like she essentially ^is^ Frozen West End at this point, and you’re not really going to have a “big name” (to theatre nerds) as Anna. This sells tickets because Disney, or people who just love musicals anyway. I’m not sure a theatre name like Alice Fearne or Lucy St Louis, even if they were suitable/available, would be “worth it” in terms of ticket sales/cost.
Tell you who I’d love to see as Anna though, practicalities aside, is Courtney Bowman. What is she doing after Pretty Woman closes? She’d smash it.

Lucie Jones could do Elsa (not sure what her attendance would be like though). I think she was in the running originally but Samantha Barks got it.

I wonder if My Neighbour Totoro would be a good replacement for Frozen? Only issue is that it doesn't finish until late March at the Barbican.

I'd love to see Totoro get a longer run but wouldn't be surprised if it goes to Broadway or Japan instead. Though even if it finishes in March at the Barbican I suppose they could then open at Drury Lane later. |

Perhaps too big a venue but, a transfer of Some Like It Hot could potentially work well in Drury Lane?

Samantha Barks must be getting paid SO MUCH MONEY…
She’s great in the show but this will be her third year with it. Disney is def showing her the money and likely a car to and from the theatre.
