Surely (bar Hamilton of course) these ridiculous prices are just going to make people not want to go to these shows when they can go literally next door to Mamma Mia or 42nd Street at a much cheaper price? Well that doesn’t really seem to be the case looking at how well this is selling. Pretty much every weekend has limited availability with a handful of seats left. Even if they are keeping some back it looks popular.

I’ve booked, and was asked by my best friend and his mum if I’d get them tickets. They’re not in the slightest bit interested in theatre so based on that very unscientific example this has a broad appeal. As it happens I couldn’t get 3 seats together on a weekend (he is visually impaired so we would have to be up at the front stalls) so I’m going on my own to check it out and will take them later if it’s a winner.
Do we know ANYthing about this yet? Any rumours or gossip from those in the know?

The inflated pricing won't necessarily make me go and see a different show instead that I don't want to see, I just won't see this one!

Talk to the access line at the venue, they may well be able to assist. I know tm, I did think about that but the amount of (understandable) hoop jumping you have to do to get on access lists these days I couldn’t be bothered really. If he were an avid theatregoer I would but he’ll never use it again.

More tickets went on sale today and I am ASTOUNDED at the prices.
Perhaps because I'm not someone who's ever been to the likes of The Book of Mormon, Hamilton and other very high profile/mainstream musicals where these prices I hear are the norm, but £100 for a standard stalls ticket?! WTF?!?
I would expect to see a performance of Miss Turner herself for that money.
Not gonna pay £50 to sit at the back of the upper circle either! I'll wait til the price eventually drops!

Managed to book two £19.50 seats for a performance in May, yes it's basically the back row of the upper circle but its a clear view and the cheap price won. They weren't showing as available when I looked a few weeks ago so they're either returns or tickets really are being put on sale in small batches

Not sure where you are looking, distantcousin , but the official site - aldwychtheatre.co.uk has prices £79.50 (£85 Saturday), £59.50, £49.50, £35, £19.50, £10 with decent stalls at the top 3, and some really good upper circle at third too. Looking today, not all prices appeared to be on sale for some reason, but no doubt they will dribble back. Ah, I was looking at ticketmaster, which was in the link from the promo emails from "Tina- The Musical" that got sent out today. These prices are much more reasonable. Many thanks!!!

I still think they are holding back loads of tickets..this will be a hit, but it can't be selling as well as they want you to believe it is...

Just wondering if anybody knew if there is going to be any type of Day Seat / Lottery allocation for this show. Seems strange that in every single performance the two front rows are not available to purchase!

Alexandra Burke said on Graham Norton's Radio 2 show today she would like to audition for this show and for Dreamgirls if given the chance.

I heard from a friend that Tina doesn’t leave the stage the whole show and is in 26 numbers, and the biggest sing is at the end. So because of that the lead is doing 6 a week.

I agree, but she said she would like to star in it. She even said if any producers are listening, I’ve put it out there, I want to do it. Is this a proper musical or is it a tribute show?

Is this a proper musical or is it a tribute show? I believe it's more Beautiful than Thriller Live!

A peek of the designs for this on Baz’s tweet last night. Looks like a black box staging for the most part.

Starts this week...
Anyone going?
(And if there's any rumblings of dayseats/rush/lottery/etc do post, although the Aldwych has never been a great venue to do discounted tickets).

I’m there in May along with Chess. If the early feedback for either/both is bad it’s going to be a right downer!

Was meant to post yesterday but forgot all about it!
I've been ringing the theatre box office all week asking about the front 2 rows that had been held off!
I rang yesterday morning and nothing but I went on todaytix later on in the day and there was tickets for pretty much all dates for £75 and they were in the front 2 rows; I opened up the official website ASAP as I knew TodayTix's tickets would've been a little jacked up- on the theatres website they were £69 each I missed opening night but got 3 for the Thursday and I can say am I bloody buzzing. I grew up listening to Tina and I have been waiting for so long I just hope it lives up to my hopes!
I did rang the theatre again today to see if they were going to do day seats and they assistant said the producers definitely won't be doing day seats as it's selling so well but he says in a couple of months there should be a lottery for unsold seats... so don't lose hope just yet!
Anyways I'll report back in Thursday how it is! Hoping Adrienne smashes it!

I've got tickets for May. I'm glad I booked some cheap tickets when I saw them rather than holding off with the hope of dayseats/lottery, it's sold well indeed.
