Is there nothing for the Krankies in there? A crying shame.

Is there nothing for the Krankies in there? A crying shame. Ha! Seriously though... I cannot comprehend casting Kimberley Walsh in anything. I can’t imagine her name selling more than a couple dozen tickets in total and she cannot sing nor act. I actively avoid anything she’s in. Strange casting indeed.

Expensive seats and poor casting. Perfectly logical, yeah right.

At least the return of Harding might have been amusing...

I’ve not seen any adverts or marketing for this show anywhere! I saw a poster on a Chiltern train between London and the Midlands last week...random! There's been a few posters at stations in Sussex. I saw one in Haywards Heath and I think there was one in Lancing.

This casting is too tragic for words! Hilarious.

Great tip off, thanks so much.
I got a centre front row stalls seat for Press Night on 17 September for a total of £46.75.

Thanks TM, just booked a front row centre seat. £46.75 including fees.
I suspect there will be more offers as there's decent availability, but this seemed worth grabbing.

I saw this in Dublin a few years back, very limp show. The cast were trying to work with what they had but about an hour in I had enough. Unmemorable songs, poor attempts at humour, and boy does it drag.

First four previews cancelled.... Is the giant floor piano thing playing up? I’m pretty sure that they sell them in Early Learning Centre if they need a new one. Or have they run out of MDF to screen off the back 2/3rds of the stalls so it doesn’t look so empty? But best of luck guys, shame that Wembley wasn’t free...

I wish them the very best, I really do. I think discounted matinees will do well for them. Tuesday nights? Not so much.

The issue with the West End is....
A; Cheap stunt casting and not going for talent B; Cheap sets as they cost money C; Wrong theatres D; Standard of production (dumbing down orchestra etc) E; Rising ticket prices and standards falling F; Not enough revenue/theatre angels or investment like Broadway G; Equity not being strong enough in the UK H; Show choices - going for cheap commercial musicals that don’t offer the best standard always. I; The audiences and demographic - say no more.
There are exceptions to the rule and I love BIG the musical - but I hope this isn’t just like a horrible tacky cheap panto.

First four previews cancelled.... Oh huh, I missed the email for that, I was going on 9th. I'd still quite like to go so hopefully can rearrange.

Agree with many of these - think problem is that these show choices (H) bring in the money. The demographic (I) want the stunt casting (A) and don't notice the cheap sets (B) or the standards (D). It does make me sad, but think, minus a few commercial failures, they produce what people want. Once the three ALW/Rice shows close, there will be very little, if anything, I am interested in in the West End. Well, looking fwd to Mary Poppins, but it's nothing new. (Edit - I shall still be fanboying Les Mis!)

I work close to the Dominion and we get free tickets to the shows there...but I don't think I'll even take them up on the offer for this!

I was in the new Theatre Cafe a few weeks ago and there seemed to be a lot of promotion for this show specifically. There was a big (no pun intended) poster on one of the walls, and the majority of their paper cups seemed to be for this show.
