I've actually seen a production of BIG and quite enjoyed it - it's a better and funnier show than the OCR would lead you to believe. But what's the market for it? The movie is long forgotten. Or is it? [br Saying the film is forgotten proves your age. You must be under 35 - correct? Big is a HUGE film!!! |

I could see this being a filler at the Piccadilly for a limited run. Already on tour, somewhat star cast, popular movie etc. Will it be in rep with Sleepless? |

Saw this last night and really enjoyed it. Surpassed all my expectations. This is cast really well. The set is spectacular. Never has a show used a revolve so much (Yes I have seen les mis, its used even more than that) there must be concrete plans for this to have another life after Dublin. there is no way that set was for a couple of weeks in Plymouth and Dublin

I'm sure Elaine Paige said on her show that they were waiting for a suitable theatre to become available. Thank you- it's an enjoyable show. I was afraid it had been shelved as its four week run in Dublin wasn't a huge box office success. Glad to hear that they're finding a new home for it. |

Gosh the guys social media feeds are jam packed with endorsements and product adverts, could be its just another post for rent, although likely to be cast I'd say. The soundtrack did nothing for me the few times I sat through it, think it was the winey kids that put me off and nothing brought me back round after that ha. |

I find the score of BIG to be incredibly bland. Its a bit of an endurance test to sit through it. |

Just saw the website advertised on the big digital screens at Holland Park Roundabout - if the announcement is coming on Friday then I suppose this must be Baz's Thursday eve scoop this week.

I just had they go somewhere smart than the Dominion. The Dominion has White Christmas booked from November; this announcement says the show will be coming in 'Autumn' so even if we push that back to, say, July, that's only a 4 month run. Now with that barn of a theatre that may well be all they are hoping to sell, or maybe launch another tour afterwards, but might they instead be going for a theatre that they can have over the xmas season? Surely with the film connection they'd be hoping to bring in a lot of business over the holiday period? Perhaps it's naive of me to think that it could compete with pantos or the famous West End shows purely on the back of the film and (maybe) a C-list pop star. |
