Could this cast get any cheaper? Throw someone from Emmerdale in and it's complete! Diana Vickers also starring!

Oh no it's fine... But not if it comes into the west end. Could this cast get any cheaper? Throw someone from Emmerdale in and it's complete! Who were you expecting? It's not a west end show, they're fairly big names

I think it's more likely to tour. I guess Denise Van Outen, Jay Mcguiness and Gary Wilmot are fairly well known??

Managed to get a return flight for £20 to Dublin, from Manchester so the day trip to see Big is on! This is actually cheaper and quicker than my usual London trips on the train.

I saw this on tour in the USA years ago. The only thing I remember about it is that at one point some characters were playing basketball and the ball went into the audience. Everyone cheered when the audience member threw it back. Pretty sure that was the highlight.

It's selling pretty bad in Dublin! No one knows the show. With the other four main theatres in Dublin doing panto and let's face it the Dublin pantos are pretty spectacular this will have trouble putting bums on seats for the 5 weeks.

Jay was on Xtra Factor on Saturday night, and he mentioned his "West End" musical. I wonder if it's definitely coming?

No disrespect to Denise, but this can only be a good thing, no?

Well Jessica Martin is definitely the better choice! Denise was awful in Legally Blonde!

Yes and look at how well they all went! Yeah like the west end hasn't had its share of soap stars and X factor rejects Matt Cardle and Brenda Edwards went down ok didn't they. Ben Forster? The girl who played Maria in SoM? Loads more I can't be bothered to dig up. Stop making out the west end is some sort of sacrosanct entity that doesn't employ populist sh*te. It's no better than anywhere else. It's worse in some respects because in theory it *should* be so much better. Which makes it so much worse.

Don't get yer knickers in a twist.
My point is that the west end SHOULD be better than that. Seeing a show in the west end costs more than regional theatre and therefore standards should be the highest possible. And casting people like DVO and Kimberley Walsh etc is just not good enough.

I am a very proud snob. I expect the highest standards in all aspects of my life- particularly theatre!

Never seen the film but Jay doesn't actually sound that bad in the trailer. Looks like a big production with big sets so I'm pretty sure they're aiming to transfer this??
