I think ‘Heathers’ gets a bad rap based on its Other Palace mega-run. A backlash against Carrie, a backlash against it constantly returning to a venue supposedly for new writing, backlash against Kenwrights practices re: covers (or lack of) and the stereotypically ‘extra’ young theatre fans that follow it. At its heart it is a darkly comic story of murder, identity and fitting in so not necessarily the obvious choice for such popularity. I think its a great show with brilliant music and find it a fun watch.

Heathers definitely has the superior score in my opinion, but Mean Girls is funnier (at least the screenplay is but I think from “modernising” the musical they lost a lot of the best lines).

She was a perfectly acceptable alternate Juliet in ‘& Juliet’. The dictionary definition of vanilla but she sang it ok. They should have put this on the poster lol. |

Seen pictures of the early stages of the get-in: looks like the show is getting a sub stage lift (like Legally did) for the production in London.

I’m told some fan favourite songs have been cut… and lots of script changes to match the new film… hope they don’t make a car crash out of this

It seems like there is not a lot of buzz around this show. Anyone booked tickets already? I’ll be there June 7th I guess there are no names in this who can go on tv and do interviews to drum up some hype.. so hardly surprising it has no buzz.. but it’s pretty heavily sold for the first few weeks. Maybe they will wheel Tina Fey out |

Booked Row A Stalls today which I think they have just released for previews anyway.
Had some £45 ones in Row F Stalls at the side for the first preview on the 5th but couldn’t get the purchase to go through!

I was really excited for this until that awful movie came out in January lol
£25 rush tickets is decent so I’ll get one of those, glad I didn’t/ won’t be paying full price

Rush tix is definitely a very strategic play! They know the audience for this for sure.
I'm not that big on either Heathers or Mean Girls, but the latter attracts me slightly more for an impulse buy rush ticket night out.

Rush tickets are hardly a new thing? They are a mainstay of teen focussed stuff like this. If you look at lots of days there are only single tickets left and its the perfect way to shift them if need be.
