If you’re in the centre section then AA is front row. BB is second row, then it goes A,B,C etc. Rake kicks in around C. BB is the front row if your on the side stalls. BB centre block is my favourite row. Its near to the stage but I’m tall so that’s not a problem, and it’s got enough legroom to drive a bus through.

Saw this today from a £10 slips seat which was an absolute steal! Didn't miss anything. I've only ever seen the show at The Queen's and the biggest difference here was obviously the staging without the revolve. I'm firmly in the 'loved it' camp. It feels so fresh and really shows up how tired the London production looks. Little changes to lyrics in a few of the songs too which I assume come from the Broadway version. Killian was great (loved him in town), I can really connect with his JVJ. Nic was vocally brilliant as Javert, his Stars got the biggest cheer of the afternoon. Ensemble in general were great, in my opinion far superior to the current WE cast. Only let downs for me were Marius and Cosette who I thought lacked any chemistry and their acting and vocals were weakest of the cast. I don't normally tear up at this show but how they treat the deaths of Enjolras and Gavroche had me reaching for the tissues. Look forward to catching it in MK later in the run when they've all had time to settle in. This production have definitely reignited my love of this show!

What is the view from the back of the dress circle like in the Manchester Palace like? I asked the same in the Wicked thread, and I was told that it's a good view, but you miss the top of the stage due to the grand tier overhang.

Would that be a big issue with Les Mis?

I would say that for the barricade scenes, yes. But I’m not sure how big the scale of the tour is compared to the London show.

Les Mis tour at the Manchester Palace from close to the back of the dress circle. The views of the barricade were fine because that was further back on the stage, but I had to slouch a bit to see some of the 'upstairs' actors in the Paris street scenes, but nothing uncomfortable. If I remember correctly, I was three or four rows from the back, a bit left of centre.

What is the view from the back of the dress circle like in the Manchester Palace like? Personally I prefer the front gallery to the rear circle or rear stalls at the Manchester Palace . I always think it’s like looking through a letterbox (due to the circle and gallery overhang) and quite claustrophobic. Way better view from the gallery.

I'm looking at the £27.50 seats. Which would be better - Back of the circle or Stalls BB 11 at the front?

For me, front stalls. It’s always a personal choice of course, but I always feel so enclosed at the back of the stalls or circle at the Palace, the view is not good , and it’s a long show, you need to be comfortable. I think the front stalls will provide a memorable experience .

Quick question regarding the gunshots - do the actors fire blanks or is it more of a sound effect like in the recent Miss Saigon tour? Basically, will I be on edge the whole time or are they relatively ok?

Basically, will I be on edge the whole time or are they relatively ok? Usually the only blank fired is when *Spoiler* Valjean “shoots” Javert. The rest of the battles use SFX gunshots.
