A bunch of strangers are holed up in a farmhouse in rural Pennsylvania.

Hoards of the undead are approaching.

Who will make it out alive?

Night of the Living Dead™ Live! skirts the line between the horrific and the hysterical. It’s the only production officially authorised by the Romero estate, paying loving homage to the film and recreating all those iconic scenes, alongside lots of new material for newcomers and hardcore fans alike.

Get amongst the gore by choosing one of our special on-stage seats in Splatter Zone One, or if you like your zombies at arms length, pick seats in one of our Supposedly Safe Zones.

Expect laughs, brains, blood, guts, braaiiins, music and BRAAAAIIIINNNSS.

I wasn't brave enough to book splatter zone seats though!

You should get an email the day before your performance, it seems they provide protective outerwear for those in the Splatter Zone.

It’s a fun night out - it took me a little while to get in the right frame of mind for the humour to hit, but once it did I enjoyed the piece.

The set design is good overall, but sadly it’s poorly executed as the on-stage splatter seats obscure the view of the action, especially in the front 4 or 5 rows. For anyone going who isn’t sat on stage, I’d recommend further back and central if you can - try and position yourself so you can see the central door at the back of the set, and the small window house-left. It was a quiet mid-week performance, so I was upgraded to Zone A seats, but in retrospect I should have stayed back for a better overall view.

The cast are really energetic and very funny. It’s not as scary as I’d hoped, but it’s far funnier than I expected.

Well this was a lot of fun last night! Was seated in band A (not on stage) and took the advice mentioned above and sat right in the middle of the second row and could see everything. People on the ends of the front few rows moved when it started because the view from those seats is totally blocked by the people sat on stage, so make sure to get there early to choose a good seat. Even though we were in the splatter zone we didn't get splattered at all, and it looks like it's only water fitting with the black and white palette (doing in disposable clothes wasn't necessary! Only the on stage audience members were provided with the overalls too).

Second half was much better than the first, wasn't scary at all but was very funny, especially the finale. The humour style reminded me a bit of the Toxic Avenger.
