Just had a pre-sale email alert through from Ticketmaster. I believe this has played off-broadway. "Ross and Rachel, Monica and Chandler, Phoebe and of course Joey love FRIENDS. And if you do too, you're not going to want to miss this wonderful tribute musical comedy that celebrates everything that FRIENDShip is. In fact, there's nothing better than friends reunited, is there?
Register here now to be the first to hear about the tribute musical comedy coming to London’s West End."
No venue given so not sure if this is West End or.... "West End"

Is this the same one that is playing in las vegas? It certainly looks like it. Wouldn’t surprise me if this played in rep a night or two a week with something else at a small theatre (The Hippodrome? Lyric? Other Palace?)

The title of the touring production seems to be Friendsical, not Friends - if so perhaps a moderator could amend the thread title - or are there two different Friends musicals ?
Nearest venue to me will be the Rose Theatre in Kingston which I haven't visited before. They offer what are described as Secret Seats for £10. Has anybody used this facility to be able to comment on whether they allocate decent seats ?

Anybody on here seen this yet? I went to Darlington yesterday afternoon and it was … ok, but a bit weird! It hadn't sold well at all, probably because it wasn't in the brochure and was only added to the website relatively recently. When the tour dates were first posted above, in April, there was no sign of it.
Ross, Chandler, Monica and Phoebe were the best cast, and Gunther was just Gunther down to a t. I'd say you need to know all 10 seasons very well, almost inside out, to be able to enjoy this. My mum, who has only ever seen odd bits before, came with me and didn't have a clue what was going on! The storyline is very mixed up - as they point out in the show, the timeline is not necessarily always in the right order - and it seems to just be random scenes from Friends stuck together in an almost random order.
Some of the songs were quite good, but it is pretty cheesy overall. They break the 4th wall a few times - the premise of the show is Ross putting on a musical about memorable bits of the 10 seasons. Some bits seem quite dragged out, whereas other bits are very rushed. I'm glad I went (it doesn't sound as though my Plan B - Rock of Ages - would have been any better) but I wouldn't rush to go again, I think it's a good idea in the making, but needs a bit more work.

I'm seeing Friendsical tonight in Worthing. My colleague saw it last night and enjoyed it. I've also seen that Friends! the Musical Parody is coming to Portsmouth next year in March, which seems to be the Las Vegas show. I tried to find out exactly what this was to ensure I was booking some different to Friendsical and can't really see anything about this tour, although there seem to be some further dates here: www.ents24.com/uk/tour-dates/friends-the-musical-parody which doesn't include the Portsmouth date on 14 March!

While Friendsical continues to tour, the Las Vegas/Off Broadway ' Friends! The Musical Parody' starts touring the UK from 4 March through to October. I've booked to see the latter as I believe it hits the mark better as a parody, but I'd be interested to hear how they compare - is anyone planning on seeing both?

I am - seen one and booked to see the other in March so I'll report back afterwards! Can't say I was that impressed with Friendsical, I thought the songs were good and the actors were really good at mimicking the characters, but thought the story was too reliant on quoting actual jokes from the show. I'd have liked some more observations or jokes about the show instead of just quoting it at us out of context. Not sure if I'm being too harsh or having unreasonable expectations, but I'm expecting better things from Friends! The Musical Parody.

From some of the American reviews it seems Friends! TMP does make jokes about the TV show and its cast.
Is Friendsical more focused on recreating scenes from the TV show? How do they fit the songs in, and are they any good?

How do they fit the songs in, and are they any good? Yeah, it's about Ross making a film about their lives so they take a lot of the story lines, scenes and jokes from the show and mash them into one story all out of order. I thought the songs were the highlight of the show, although I do wish I remembered more about them! There was one that featured Gunther dancing around dressed as a dinosaur which was bizarre. Mostly they're singing about Ross and Rachel's relationship.
