i thought Biggins had announced he was doing one last panto this year and that would be it, but I'm sure someone else on here is more in the know than me.

You missed a cracker of a pantomime (except for Marti Pellow - but that is probably personal taste) and the effects were phenomenal. Yes you can just see some of the workings from front half of the stalls, but also saw this from the balcony and it was absolutely magical for all the kids around me. |

The pictures of the flying carpet on their website make me regret not going to see Aladdin last Christmas! you missed an absolute cracker jamescrispy94 - the effects and scale of the show was better than many "proper" musicals! I, for one, am really excited for this. When Qdos have the budget to go big, they go big. Michael Harrison also mentions that he wants to tour this production in future years, so we can expect to see it at the "big" Qdos venues in future years - Birmingham/Southampton/Newcastle etc. |

Bit confused about the article in The Stage. It says the panto "replaces the previously announced School of Rock" and links to a previous article - but School of Rock has since announced (a while ago, actually) that it was moving the transfer to Spring 2017. So when it comes over (even if it doesn't end up at The Palladium), the dates of Cinderella (which finishes in Jan 2017) don't clash with SoR at all.
Who do they have working at The Stage these days?!

Not only will this have to compete with the Birmingham Hippodrome in getting the best stars, but the Barclaycard Arena also in Birmingham has now announced the return of the "World's Biggest Panto", Snow White, which, judging by the reviews of last year's Cinderella, is quite surprising to see come back!

it's interesting how they claim "worlds biggest panto" It's interesting why they claim "world's biggest panto". I can't think of any circumstances when that would be a metric by which I'd judge whether something was worth seeing. It's like "world's roundest kettle" or "world's yellowest letter opener": it may well be absolutely true, but who cares? |

Personally, I don't see the appeal of panto in an arena. Surely you loose all intimacy, atmosphere and any audience interaction will surely alienate anyone not in the immediate surrounding area?! I'd choose panto at the Palladium - you'd definitely feel like you were part of something much more special! |

Wasn't much into the Spice Girls BUT sat very near Mel C at a "Superstar" recording. Now, if she did panto, I'm there and drooling in the front row  ('m assuming that is the "drool" emoji!). Mel C is pretty awesome! She's definitely the best singer of the lot - never got to see the Spice Girls live unfortunately, but I did get to see Mel C do a solo show at the Shepherd's Bush Empire a couple of years ago, and she was great. |

With tickets supposedly on sale today at 10am I'm surprised there's not been more pre-publicity for this show... not a whiff of a star name, or info on ticket prices even. The arena panto has almost stolen their thunder a little with their not too shabby casting announcement yesterday (maybe not to everyone's taste but it's a decent line-up for an evenings fun).

Also rather keen to know the cast at these prices, but for future reference... book via Palladium or www.cinderellapalladium.com/tickets/ or SEE for no booking fees (the latter doesn't let you select seats, the others do, though all are powered by SEE I believe!). |
