Well this is....interesting. Made in Dagenham being revived with an actor-musician production! At the Queen’s Theatre, Hornchurch between 16th August and 17th September and at the New Wolsey Theatre Ipswich from 21st September to 15th October 2016. Loved the show at The Adelphi. Am very excited & will be booking this, my favourite new musical of 2014 - happy travel to Zone 6 to see this (nice its in Essex)

I've seen a few things at this theatre, all of a really high standard - has to be, to take me all the way from Ealing to Hornchurch!

Oh wow... I loved the show in London, even going to the incredible final performance... nice to see this will continue having a life after London!

There's an amateur production in eastbourne in July too Viva East Bourne, TUC by the sea I hugely enjoyed Made In Dagenham, but I got really, really hungry during the final number as the huge 'TUC' letters at the back of the stage just made me want some crackers. |

I'll be interested to see what is changed, possibly of the score or anything like that. I love a lot of the score and listen to the Cast Recording a lot. I sure hope they find the right persons for the cast, particularly the Gemma Atherton role and the Sophie Louise-Dann role.

Claire Machin is appearing as Barbara Castle! Now thats casting to get excited about! Interesting that they have announced every cast member except who will be playing Rita... I just miss this show so much, will be an incredible long day for me (6 hour round trip) but worth it. |

I am all booked with my friend Matt (a big fan of the show too, we recently traveled to Wolverhampton to see a production of the show) for the final performance at Hornchurch, have only been to this theater once but I live near Bow so it's an easy journey and venture out to zone 6!!

Clare Machin is superb in this, a really underrated actress, but I think she is top of the class.mthought she was the best think in Memphis and liked he in The Girls.
As the show itself it is a good production of show that isn't very good. Once she seen it, Richard Bean's book is qute jarring and relies on profanity and cheap end of the pier humour, several really good songs in here, one of the best is Stand Up, except it's use to rouse the audience to show false admiration.
Love how they dealt with the sets and love to see how work can be re-conceived on a cheaper budget. Sometimes less is better and today was proof.
3 Stars.
Cannot understand why this isn't going to places like Manchester or Leeds (West Yorkshire Playhouse) and other locations that's has small theatres.

The audience greeted Stand Up with general indifference when I saw the show - no one stood up, despite the repeated pleadings from the stage.

The first three times I saw the show in London, some areas of the audience stood during the song, but the whole audience stood by the end of the song. With the final London show, the entire audience (well, Stalls anyway!) stood from the very beginning of the song clapping and cheering, and continued to do so through the song, the minute or two of cast just standing there at the end, the curtain call and Gemma's speech! It really was quite an incredible sight to behold at the Adelphi!

I love this show.
The actor-muso works really well, and the way its staged is great (not a drastic amount of set, but enough to give you the different areas and the fact you're in different locations).
Daniella for me was a bit too angry as Rita (much preferred Gemma A in the London production). Agree that Clare Machin was the stand out though, very much like how Sophie Louise Dann played it. Brilliant voice too. Tooley doesn't work in this (Steve Furst was great in London but this guy just made the whole song awkward).
This show really means a lot to me (I was choked up from the first beat of the overture - I saw it 4 times in London and have missed it a lot.) So glad its been given a future life.
Stand Up did feel like a cheap way to get a standing ovation in this, whereas for me it didn't in London.
Not many, if any book/lyric changes that I can think of.
