I don't think we have a separate thread on this?
Anyway the Nash has updated it's page for it (https://www.nationaltheatre.org.uk/shows/peter-gynt)
Running in the Olivier 27th June- 8th October.
Starring some bloke who talked a lot in a play about Angels.

And here's the artwork. A teeny tiny James McArdle on some sand. How lovely. I hope he put on some sun cream. He'll burn like buggery.

I believe @emicardiff has some great ideas on how camels could be utilised in theatre marketing.....

I believe @emicardiff has some great ideas on how camels could be utilised in theatre marketing..... I believe @souchyboy knows a man with a camel. But yes I’m of the opinion that every show can be improved by a camel. Name me one that wouldn’t be improved by a big old camel strolling on with no context?

Naturally! if this play isn't all a camel and my lad wearing excellent knitwear I'm going to be writing a letter of complaint. Give the people what they want Rufus!!

Despite my recent unhappy experience (shared with so many others) with David Hare's I'm Not Running I'm tempted to give this a go. James McArdle was so good in Angels in America and the BBC's Man in An Orange Shirt and more recently in Mary Queen of Scots (as were so many other notable stage actors, David Tennant and Simon Russell Beale to name but two). I'll see what the queue is like during the members' booking period .........

So what's Mr McArdle up to that three performances in September have just been cancelled...? 10/11/12 Sept all cancelled which means I'm not seeing it until almost closing night...

OhMyDays David Hare adapting Peer Gynt at the National is the most stereotypical National Theatre thing in the world.

I mean it's based on Ibsen's Peer Gynt, do you know how incredibly fortunate we are that it's coming in under 5 hours?

Apparently involves a lot of music, movement, and devising. So we can watch people throwing shapes on the Olivier for nearly four hours. Still better that than four hours of Hare's dialogue. /slaps hand/
