I've seen Aaron/Ashley, Jamie/Liisi, Jamie/Tanisha, Adam/Liisi and Adam/Tanisha. I do think Aaron probably has the best voice, but his acting is a little wooden. I also think Adam's voice is better than Jamie's, but Jamie's acting was probably better? Adam/Liisi was my favourite of the London pairings I've seen anyway.

Derek Klena as Christian - he was great in Anastasia too. Ashley Loren Satine, Oh, Derek is pretty. Looks like they finally hit on a winning combo of leads. Look forward to see what London will come up with next! It definitely helped the story that he was swoon worthy |

Liisi is also leaving in October So two new leads then. I enjoyed it with Liisi and Jamie, but may well go again if they cast actors I’d like to see. Anyone have any idea what Rob Houchen is doing post-South Pacific? I guess with the tour dates it won’t stack up but I’d still love to see him as Christian. |

Even I’d go back if they cast Rob as Christian. It needs a confident anchor to give it some weight and not just be a frenetic mess. If they kept Zoe on as Satine that’d do for me.

Rob Houchen has been one of the top 'dream casting' names online from the start - I feel like for so many people he'd be the perfect Christian. Myself included!

I remember Rob being heavily rumoured/hinted at before the cast was confirmed and I was so disappointed when it turned out not to be him. Perhaps at some point in the future. I’d also love to see Jordan Luke Gage as he was great in & Juliet.
And agreed, it’d be brilliant to see Zoe promoted to lead Satine. She was Arabia the night I went and showed so much energy even in a fairly limited supporting role.

JLG is too ‘obvious’ an actor to do Christian justice. He was a great Romeo, but not this.

Whoever they go with, Christian needs to have wide-eyed naivety, rather than 'I'm hot and I know it' or dull as a plank of wood which seem to be the roads they prefer to go down when casting.
Also Satine needs to have some vulnerability to her, she should be more than just a powerhouse. I bet Zoe is brilliant when she's on but I can't bring myself to sit through it again!

Cast them a bit older. Cast actors in their 30s. It works so much better for this. Two competent MT actors with charisma and good voices, and this instantly becomes 4 stars and a lot of the issues can be forgiven.

The producers have a great chance to finally cast someone who is decent, hence why the two leads were snubbed in the Oliviers. Someone who stands out for me is Courtney Stapleton who in in Beauty and the Beast.

I honestly don’t think they are award worthy roles as currently written. They’d have to be pretty spectacular performers to sell it to the degree of getting an acting nomination.
Aaron Tveit doesn’t count as the only nominee that year 😂

Callum Francis should play Toulouse…he’s currently off Broadway in Kinky Boots and he’d be amazing. He has the Australian/Baz connection with his fiancé and doing Phantom and Girl From the North Country there
