Quentin Blake only did the first two, it was Tony Ross from number 3 onwards. Walliams is a pretty good author though. Some are a bit naff but some are genuinely great, including The Boy in the Dress.

We are quite possibly getting close to an announcement.
Any thoughts/hopes/rumours for anything other than the Boy in the Dress which we've known about for ages?
Still wanting Henry VI to finally arrive but looking unlikely.

Announcement 28 January according to my last mailing. We obviously know what the family xmas show will be. I've assumed that Doran will direct the Henry 6s as the climax to the folio project so a couple of years to wait. Hoping for decent Swan season.

The 19/20 season ought to be announced Monday. Other than the new Walliams/Williams Musical, any clues?

By my reckoning by end of Summer 2019 we will still have the following due in the complete works: The Comedy of Errors All's Well The Winter's Tale King John Henry VI 1, 2 and 3 Richard III Henry VIII Cymbeline So a really easy load to plan and stage

Yes they have left a few of the lesser known ones for the end, especially putting them on in the mainhouse. I suspect one or two will be in the Swan a la Timon.

I suspect so, only news I managed to get was apparently Timon will get a cinema release, which made me wonder if there is a Shakespeare next winter

I have lost track of how far behind the original plan we are now.
The 'doing all the plays in the RST' was dropped
The time frame of 5 (and then 6) years is long gone
I am far from convinced Doran will ever finish the cycle. The longer he delays, the longer he can cling on as AD, I guess.

Doran will go when his ten years are up, so 2023,the folio quartercentenniel coincidentally.

Had this conversation with one of the staff, as he said about Doran going earlier, but said 2023 would be another biggie for Doran, though how he can celebrate it I don't know

2023 - the full Sher cycle.
Greg directs Tony in productions of every single play.
Perfect

I heard the Christmas musical is not what we’re expecting - it’s Sher as Cher.

Both new
RSC sales for swan not great so big risk to do Henry v1 right now
Wanamaker winter season is Henry v1 so that's pretty good to anticipate.

I hope the director for King John has something amazing to offer. It needs such a clear vision to make it work.
