I’d like to think I haven’t often made a mistake when I mention news on here.. I only mention something when I have reliable sources... but things do change.
I can let you know Fiddler in the Roof is going to the Playhouse Theatre.. not as exciting as Dolly though 😏

Baz isn't always right and in recent years has become less and less 'in the know' so I wouldn't say he is 100% reliable either. Time will tell.
I did wonder if his comment particularly highlighting that the Broadway hello dolly wont be playing London or the UK is an implication that a production might be planned elsewhere.

As I’ve shown many time, I do have inside knowledge and have MANY TIMES got things correct .. it may be on this occasion I haven’t , but things do fall through very late in the day and all I know is that I know people who were about to sign on for Hello Dolly at the Dominion starring Bette Midler. If something has gone wrong -it ain’t my fault. |

It's not the being wrong, it's the extreme defensiveness when anyone dare question him that's the problem. Not sure what it is about theatre gossip that has some people obsessed with proving how 'in the know' they are, and say 'told you so' all the time. It's not a good look really. Reputations are earnt and speak for themselves. |

I don't see what harm it has done. mrbarnaby has been correct many times, and yes, sometimes he's been wrong for whatever reason. but either way i've enjoyed hearing the gossip and in the cases where the news has come to pass, i think it's been cool we heard it here first. I'd be very disappointed if Mr B stopped sharing what he's heard and certainly don't feel he should be made to feel he should. A quick little mod note as well that users have the option of ignore features for posters they do not wish to read. |
