We don't. I simply don't fit in seats in the Ambassadors that aren't on an aisle 😂 One guy two rows in front looked so desperately uncomfortable. It's really not very fair to expect people to crush themselves into seats. It's demeaning. It's not even that - I physically can't put the seat all the way down and get me legs in - I've been moved to house seats twice because I simply can't do it (and 6 ft 4 isn't THAT tall!)

I'm 6'7" and I can literally only fit in those single seats at the edge of row B of the circle, it seriously limits the number of shows I can see there and means Rush Seats aren't an option. Hugely frustrating.

Exactly the same for me. Enfield Haunting was PAINFUL. Press night and they could not/would not find me anything else.

I’m only about 5ft 2 and found the legroom so tight (dress circle row B) that I couldn’t cross my legs during the show, could hardly move at all.

If you don’t mind the height of the stage, I can recommend stalls row A - there’s room enough to stretch right out there, and it’s cheaper than the front of the dress.

Is much missed from Stalls Row A for this production?

I saw this at yesterday’s matinee after reading such good reviews on here - but it wasn’t for me, I’m afraid.
I agree that the entire cast works hard and they are very talented. Despite this, I was strangely unmoved by it all and I felt the narration-style ending disappointing.
I’m glad I’ve seen it, but unlike many on here, I won’t be a return visitor.

Seating is reliant on the venue and not the production IMO. I have an access need to always book an aisle - cannot be hemmed into a mid restrictive seat. Nobody commenting on the vocals of the two leads.............

Is much missed from Stalls Row A for this production? Some hatches open on the stage which develop the story in the second half - you won't see what's in these but the story is clearly told so it's clear what is happening.

Nobody commenting on the vocals of the two leads............. Eh? There's been lots of praise for John Dagleish.

Someone I know saw this the other day and basically told me to not go because they couldn't understand anything. Seriously... tell that sound team to pack it in!
I think I'll try and grab tix but whereabouts is this show... most intelligible? When I sat in the back of the stalls at Kathy and Stella it was abysmal so should I just go for as far forward as possible?

I think the leads voices are brilliant and intentionally characterised where need be. I don't remember the specific moment, but I think in the song "Home", John Dagleish really lets rip on the top notes and shows what he's actually got in the tank.

Aim for rows C - G of stalls if you can. Dress sounded fine in row D but I am still unfolding my legs from Saturday.

All the 'just a matter of time' sequences are more Tell than Show which is fine, they're cleverly written and entertaining enough, but if you miss one word you suddenly lose the entire chain of events. I'm not great at picking up lyrics at the best of times, and that was a real challenge with each action depending on the results of the last. A little more supporting visuals (even if it's just a little bit of mime) might make comprehension easier. Did anyone else find the {Spoiler - click to view}song that ended in the death of the daughter was total tonal whiplash - from wacky chain of events to sudden tragedy - and again, having missed a word or two here and there, I wasn't clear at all about how he lost her. Overall I did really like the show, and other than aforementioned spoiler, it did hit me emotionally. I do agree that the ending was abrupt. None of the songs stick in my head in particular but I had a pleasant impression of them as a whole - I'd like a cast album to put it on in the background.

Thank you for posting the video. Great to hear this again, I’d love a cast recording!

This section of the show has been reworked in the last week and runs much smoother - I felt the same thing when I first saw it. There is a reprise of an earlier song instead of silence and the moment is shorter.

I saw this last night and have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. No sound issues from where I was in the stalls (Row E) and everyone around me was commenting on how good it was. I love the music (going to need that cast recording) and woke up this morning humming a few of the tunes!
Overall, the cast look like they’re having an absolute blast. I didn’t see this off-West End so from someone who doesn’t know about any of the changes, it’s a winner for me. Had a big grin on my face the entire way through. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Did anyone else find the {Spoiler - click to view}song that ended in the death of the daughter was total tonal whiplash - from wacky chain of events to sudden tragedy - and again, having missed a word or two here and there, I wasn't clear at all about how he lost her. The show originally opened with a version of All Just a Matter of Time that built up to Benjamin's birth, alongside the reprise that builds up to Benjamin and Elowen's first meeting. In the Southwark Playhouse production I thought the second reprise was a terrific subversion of expectations: {Spoiler - click to view} We assume "destiny" is working behind the scenes to again devise something wonderful, but instead get a child drowning to death. Time giveth and time taketh away. I haven't seen this production yet (will be going in a few days) but I imagine this subversion will be somewhat undermined by the replacement of the opening number. The rule of three is a rule for a reason.

I miss the original opening number. It introduced the theme of the show so much better. These themes and the reprises make this show sparkle.
To be honest, I don't like any of the villagers stories. Seen the show 3 times and still can't follow what's happening. It's too abstract and I really don't care about those characters.
I also miss "If I run", the motives to leave now didn't feel quite clear.
