Oh wow, I was already going to this, I thought it would be nice and festive, but now Clare is involved, I really can't wait. She wowed me in 42nd Street, I thought she was the most talented leading lady at work on the West End at that time.
Can't wait now!

This was always going to be a hard sell in November. I think the ticket prices have dropped a bit I first looked but are still higher than most current musicals.
I saw White Christmas at the Curve Leicester last December, where it was a near sell-out, and it is a great production which will hopefully benefit from positive reviews and word of mouth once it opens.
I just booked a front row £85 seat for £49.50 - it's a must-see with Clare Halse plus Dan Burton. I had the whole of the front two rows to choose from !

I really can't believe the prices, two seats where I usually like to sit are £300. That's a lot, you can go away for that, this is a 2.5 hour show. It's no wonder some shows are struggling to shift tickets, who can really afford a large family outing and justify it? The money can be spent with more value for the time it consumes. |

I do love See Film First*. They are currently offering 50% off and with with select your own seats. I bagged two front row of the circle,perfect for my short mother!

^Just selling tickets via Encore like everyone else. The sales company doesn't really bother me. What I was trying to point out was that it was now 50% off and not 40% which it was earlier in the week. Plus See Film First often me very cheap seats :-) |

Don’t know about offers but saw it from front stalls in Leicester and if you like old school musicals with all the glitz and glamour,then this will not disappoint.The four leads are going to be amazing together,I reckon.
‘Count Your Blessings’ is one of my all-time fave MT songs...there,I’ve said it,my secret is out lol.

It was an extremely classy and well put together production in every aspect when i saw it at Curve last Christmas. The cast were brilliant then and they have assembled a brilliant cast again this year, whilst it was also visually stunning to look at.
It sounds, though i never saw it, the opposite of the previous White Christmas production at the Dominion.

Strong cast, fabulous band and I thoroughly enjoyed the whole thing. Guess the stalls were about 80% - 90% full. I think they need a little more of the white stuff at the end though, as they risk being out snowed by their neighbours at the Old Vic. EDIT: For clarity, I'm referring to this year's production at the Dominion. |

That old Dominion production was horrible in every way. Didn’t it start the annual Dominion-festive-show-rip-off too? I seem to remember it being outrageously expensive too.

Saw White Christmas last night at the Dominion from my favourite seat ( A20 ). Started 19.32, ended with plenty of snow at 22.08.
Even better than I recall it at the Curve last year with perfect casting. Not quite as breathtakingly spectacular as 42nd Street but a close second. Great to see Clare Halse back on stage looking, singing and dancing better than ever. Don't expect much of a storyline, it's basically a series of song and dance numbers with some comedy moments and a precocious child actress in the mix. Pure feelgood slightly old-fashioned entertainment. It was merely okay at the Dominion last time round; this is light years ahead. I think I had a fixed smile on my face from start to finish. Brenda Edwards was the stand out star for me but the "three Dans" are great together.
If you can get a ticket at a reasonable price as I did (£49.50) go see it.
