Because funnily enough not everyone is on Twitter... Not sure why there should be any obligation to post links people are perfectly capable of finding for themselves anyway. I don't get your logic. You don't have to be on twitter to read tweets. Plus, if you link to a tweet, (a) it saves someone else the work of going to find it (especially if the person in question is a prolific tweeter — it's why you link to a specific blog post and not the general URL of a blog if you're talking about something in a specific entry), and (b) bonus: it saves the text of a tweet if it ever gets deleted. I thought it was fairly obvious, but my logic is that because I'm not on Twitter I tend to get my news from sources other than Twitter, so if I were to link anything it wouldn't be a direct link yo a tweet...

OK, then what I said doesn't apply to you regarding sources.
What I'm saying is, this happens too often:
1) Someone who IS on twitter sees news there 2) That person posts in summary that they saw a newsworthy tweet, but does not link it 3) People have to go hunt it down if they want direct info or an original source
You can save everyone a lot of time if you see an interesting tweet and just directly paste it in.

Katherine would be the sort of name casting the show might like for a short run especially if Sara played alongside her. Siobhan Dillon that someone mentioned earlier in the thread would be a good choice too but she may be based in US at the moment. CHF could be a decent shout for a takeover as she won't stay with Heathers forever and her fangirls would lap up that sort of show. Carrie’s too young for Jenna for five years at least, but she could give Dawn a crack. Keri Russell was about 30 when she played Jenna in the film and I guess the character is supposed to be in her early 30's. CHF turns 26 next month so might be a bit young but she is playing a teenager in Heathers and I thought if she left that role in due course she might be a decent fit in Waitress especially as her fans would snap up seats.

They’ve been seeing people for Jenna so they’re prob not bringing anyone over for it.. unless Sara or someone will do a short run.

Why are the front stalls side seats, the ones with legroom, all blocked out for every performance Anti-bear filter, many websites have them - sadly this one doesn't seem to. Well, it’s worked. So they can stick their cherry pie where the sun don’t shine 🍒 🥧

It’s bizzare the promotion emails heavily feature Jessie Mueller another one out today.

It’s bizzare the promotion emails heavily feature Jessie Mueller another one out today. That is weird, because in the US, most of the generic graphics use Betsy Wolfe, even if she has nothing to do with that event or production.

Baz just replied to a tweet of mine asking if there is any news of Waitress and Katherine tonight... he replied "not really on my radar these days". Not much seems on his radar these days. The golden days of Baz Fridays seem well in the past. Baz is just a Thursday mouthpiece for PRs these days

Well Jessie is the original so there will be lots of footage and good photos of her and she’s probably better to use than Sara because the general public will know her face and might think she’s starring for definite. And then keep Betsy as the “face” of the US Tour.

If I were to see this (not for ages and ages. Already have a London trip planned next year but it's before it opens and can only really get to London once a year), I'd probably go for the restricted view seats in the front row of the upper circle (£45; probably in the 50s later in the run). The view shouldn't be too bad, maybe a bit of sitting up due to safety rails, but I've heard mixed reports about legroom. Since I'm 6"2 it's a bit worrying but everywhere else in the theatre looks a bit out of my budget.

The front balcony is pretty decent at the Adelphi. Not for me because I'm bad with heights above dress circle level but having ushered up there before the view is reasonable for the price.

I sat up in the Upper for Bodyguard, the front section and it's a great view! If you want to go cheaper, I'm deffo game for there again!

I've heard mixed reports about legroom. Since I'm 6"2 it's a bit worrying but everywhere else in the theatre looks a bit out of my budget. There isn't any at all up there in the front section - and the back isn't much better. If you want upper circle legroom, you need either J 2 to 7 / 28 - 37, N 9 to 11 and 23 or O1 and 2. There are a few others as well at the ends but the view is so bad you can't see anything. My site has more. Isn’t he marvellous? You dont get this sort of personalised advice from other inferior seat reviewers! ❤️🐒🍌

I've also heard that it's McPhee. She got good notices on Broadway.

I really, really hope you're wrong mrbarnaby... leaving aside the fact that in the good old Smash days I've always found her terribly overrated, while I haven't seen her on Broadway I have seen several videos of her performing numbers from the show on YouTube. My (very personal) opinion is that she can of course sing all the notes (although I find that she constantly goes for a pop-py voice quality, which is too much even for this material), but she seems to never have got the memo reminding her she is meant to act through song when doing musical theatre. Of course, if you're right and she is cast, I'll be more than happy to be proved wrong and I promise I'll be back here saying it out loud if she makes me change my mind. But I can't hide I'll be hoping for her understudy to be on, when I see the show, at least as fervently as when I cross my fingers for Rachelle Ann Go to not be on when I see 'Hamilton'

If it is Mcphee then why not just cast a British actress. Mcphees fan base in the UK is very small, it's not like she is going to shift loads of tickets on her name.
